LAWTON, Okla. - They squeaked by last time but it was a different story in Aggie Gym as the Cameron Aggies women's basketball team (11-11, 4-4 LSC North) found success yet again over LSC North rival Southwestern Oklahoma in Aggie Gym on Saturday afternoon, 68-53.
Junior guard Nicole Pendarvis led all scorers with 17, and the Aggies are now winners of three straight in LSC play including the previous two over SWOSU.
Pendarvis got the scoring going right away with a jumper from six feet out to put the Aggies on the board, 2-0, with 19:44 to go.
The Bulldogs sprinted out to a eight point lead over the next five minutes following a layup from Sumiya Darden to go up 20-12 but Head Coach
Tom Webb's team responded with a run of their own and closed the half on a 15-7 run to go into the break at 27 all.

Five quick Cameron points put the Aggies up 34-29 including a long rage trey from junior guard Sabelle Diata.
The Aggies maintained their lead and saw it grow to as many as 19 in the final two minutes with strong free throw shooting.
Webb's team turned in it's most balanced scoring effort of the season as four Aggies went into double figures. Senior Josie Stewart had 16 points and four rebounds, Alexis Williams added 12 and four, and Diata finished the night with 13 points and 11 rebounds, her second consecutive double-double.
On the night, the Aggies shot for 37.5 percent (21 of 56) from the field including 41.7 percent (5 of 12) from behind the arc. They were beaten on the boards 43-39 but were able to avoid the turnover bug, committing only 14 to the Bulldogs' 19. Cameron made it to the line 36 times and hit 21 of those attempts (58.3 percent) while Southwestern was 15 of 33 (45.5 percent).
Sumiya Darden led the Bulldogs in scoring with tough shots in the paint. Darden finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
The Aggies are now in the thick of the LSC playoffs hunt as they have separated themselves from the pack and now sit in 4th place in the LSC North division. Cameron welcomes the Tigers of East Central to Aggie Gym on Wednesday, Feb. 9 in another LSC showdown. Tip off is set for 6 p.m. in Aggie Gym and the game is presented by EZ Go.
