Aggies get swept by Texas Woman’s, 3-0

LAWTON, Okla.-- Cameron University's volleyball team fell three sets to none against Texas Woman's tonight at the Aggie Gym (25-21, 25-14, 25-16).

Box Score

The Aggies started off the game strong in the first set building up leads of 4-1 and 16-11 but they could not hold off the TWU attack.

In the second set, CU found themselves down 6-13 but used a five point rally to get back in the game 11-13.  However, the Aggies could only add three more points the rest of the set as they lose, 25-14.

Cameron fought hard in the third set but could not seem to get a rally going as especially with TWU putting up an 8-1 run and was too much for the Aggies back to claw their back from and would end up losing the third set 25-15.

CU was led by Shannon Dulaney and Kathryn Evans who had 11 kills each. Annelise Carpenter added seven kills to the mix. They were assisted by Jenna Risoli who had 27 assists and nine digs. Mariah Westlake also added 11 digs, and Julisa Ocasio led the team with 13 digs of her own.

This loss puts the Aggies at 5-10 overall and 1-5 in conference.

Cameron will play two games tomorrow at Aggie Gym, first at 2:00 p.m. against Texas A&M Commerce and following that will be a match against St. Mary's [TX].
