In their last match the Aggies lost to their rival from the south Midwestern State in a 0-3 sweep, and fell to a 5-10 record, with an 0-6 LSC mark. Cameron failed to limit their errors, hitting below .100 for the match.
Kelle Carver continued to lead the Aggie offensive efforts, recording 11 kills on 32 attempts, with both
Kat Evans and Maci Terrell adding five kills apiece. Freshman setter,
Kayla Hebert had 24 assists and eight digs, while the duo of
Erin Hardy and
Lauren Acuna had 11 and 10 digs respectively. After a 10 block performance against St. Gregory's, the Aggies only totaled four blocks against the Mustangs.
Scouting Southwestern Oklahoma State
The Bulldogs have started out the season with a 6-10 record, going 3-8 in non-conference matches and a perfect 2-0 while in Weatherford. The Aggies are 17-3 against SWOSU, with the last meeting between the two teams coming on Oct. 30 of 2010 when CU got a 3-0 sweep. Cameron has not lost to the Bulldogs since the 1976 season, recording a win streak of 15 matches.
As a team, SWOSU is hitting .154 with 11.6 kills and 10.9 assists per set. When serving, they have averaged 1.6 aces per set while committing 99 errors. Defensively, the Bulldogs average 16.7 digs and 2.1 blocks per set.
Carly Zak (168) and Joey Collins (167) lead them team in kills, with Allison Cole close behind with 145. Zak averages 3.23 kills per set with a .176 attack percentage. Cole, who is hitting .235, leads the team in blocks, with a total of 66 (1.16 per set). Their setter, Breann Whitaker has 516 assists and 131 digs, while Kaila Lancaster leads the team with 222 digs.
