ARLINGTON, Texas – The #19 Cameron University men’s tennis team fell 6-1 in a tough well played match against NCAA Division I UT-Arlington on Friday afternoon at the UTA Tennis Center.
Despite the final score, Cameron  took UTA deep into sets with #19 ranked
Nicolai Ferrigno getting a 6-3, 7-6 win in the number one singles spot. Â While
Angelo Lencioni in number five singles took his match to a third set before falling 6-2, 4-6, 6-1. Â
Doubles ran differently because of Division I rules, with one point given to the team who takes at least  two-of-three events.  Cameron won in number three doubles with of the pairing of
Angelo Lencioni and
Joao Fazendeiro, 8-5. Â UTA would win the other two doubles spots, 8-6, and 8-2.Â
Cameron will play their third and final match of the week at Collin College on Feb. 9 at 10 a.m.Â
