Box Score LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron University women's basketball team made a statement on Wednesday night overwhelming Eastern New Mexico 76-63 inside the Aggie Gym.
Outside of a two point lead midway through the first half the Aggies dominated both ends of the court on Eastern New Mexico by leading from the opening tip to the final buzzer to move back to 11-11 overall.
This was also the first time since January 12, 2013 that the Aggies have beaten a Lone Star Conference school outside of Tarleton State. With a 3-9 conference record, the Aggies still are on the outside looking in for the LSC Tournament in three weeks but this win keeps them in the hunt.
"I'm happy with our kids," said head coach
Tom Webb," They're playing pretty good basketball right now and competing. We're starting to find our groove a little now."
Ali Brown knocked down a career high four three-pointers and had a personal best 19 points to lead the CU attack; she would also add eight rebounds to lead the squad.

Jazzmine Robinson chipped in 14 points.
As a group the Aggies had their best shooting night for the season at 51.8% (29-56) while holding Eastern New Mexico to 38.3% (23-63). Cameron also dominated the glass by pulling down 36 boards compared to the Zias who had 26.
The Aggies opened up on fire with eight unanswered points on the Zias and maintained at least a two possession lead until a small five point run got ENMU within two, 20-18 by the 12 minute mark. A three pointer by Caddy and a bucket by Robinson, and three straight three-pointers by Brown helped open up a 15 point lead on ENMU. CU would enter the locker room with a 47-28 lead over Eastern New Mexico.
Cameron never let up in the second half and blew the game open by 29 points at the 10 minute mark. The Zias closed the gap as the game closed but they would never get under single digits to fall 76-63
