LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron University softball team will look to keep their hot start going with doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday in Canyon, Texas.
With an 8-3 record the Ags are off to their best start in program history and presently boast a seven game winning streak.
On Friday they will face Newman for two games starting at 3 pm. The Jets will enter their matchup with Cameron with a 4-2 overall record with two wins against tenth ranked Southeastern Oklahoma to start the season. Saturday the Aggies will play Texas A&M International who is 7-7 overall and 2-4 against Lone Star Conference schools.

gobuffsgo.com on Friday. However, on Saturday there will be no live coverage for the Aggies' games with Texas A&M International.
Last weekend in Wichita Falls, Cameron hitters collected 55 hits and scored 42 runs on opposing pitching. Both
Sonora Zukerman and
Tara Martini combined for 5 homers, 19 hits (.514 average), and 21 RBI.
Kelsey Watson provided steady support for the Ags in the circle after going 3-0 with 17.2 innings pitched while giving up only four earned runs. Watson struck out 14 batters and held opposing hitters to a .203 batting average.
Following the Aggies four games this weekend they will make the long anticipated home debut on Feb. 28 to face Eastern New Mexico to open LSC play.
