LAWTON, Okla. – Cameron's softball team will have a busy week with eight games in the next six days.
In their first four contests the Aggies will look to build on their non-conference record with a trip on Tuesday to Oklahoma Panhandle and then turn around on Wednesday to host the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma at McMahon Field.
Cameron's trip to Goodwell will be their first since 2006, the Panhandle Aggies are 6-19 overall and 1-8 in the Heartland Conference and they dropped their last seven straight. As a team they are hitting .271 against opponents while their pitching staff has a 9.83 era. No live coverage will be provided for the doubleheader.
On Wednesday the Aggies will host USAO for a doubleheader starting at 1 pm. The Lady Drovers are 12-9 overall and 3-3 away from Chickaska, collectively they are hitting .285 with only five homers; their pitching staff however has held teams to under three runs per game and a .243 batting average.
To close out the week the Aggies will face Angelo State on Friday and Saturday for a pair of doubleheaders. The Rambelles are ranked inside the top-15 nationally and they will come to Cameron with a 10 game winning streak.
Cameron has dropped their last 10 games against Angelo State and it has been since Feb. 19, 2010 that the Aggies have beaten ASU on the diamond; overall the Aggies are 2-29 against Angelo State.
