About the Series
Against the TexAnns the Aggies trail the overall series 8-17-1 and they are 2-6-1 in Stephenville.  Last season Cameron avoided a sweep by salvaging the final game of the series.

Scouting the TexAnns
Tarleton State is two games back of Cameron and sits in the sixth and in final transfer slot for the Lone Star Conference Tournament.   The TexAnns last played on April 1 hosting UT-Permian Basin and swept a doubleheader against the Falcons 9-1 and 3-0.  In the LSC, Tarleton State was swept in its last series against West Texas A&M with TSU getting run ruled in five innings during all four games.   Within the league they are right behind Cameron in sixth batting .288 as a group; in fielding they are second to last in errors (60) and have the lowest fielding percentage of all eight programs at .941. Individually at the plate Katelyn Conlee is leading the team with a .393 batting average in 56 at bats.

In the circle TSU is fifth in the LSC with a 4.18 ERA while holding batters to a .277 average and they have allowed a league low 15 homers.   Randi Fentress leads the TSU pitching combo with a 3.79 ERA and 120 strikeouts in 28 games played; Brenna Hennan is the TexAnns second option in the circle with 17 starts and a 4.26 ERA.

Three in a row
A Cameron player has been honored by the Lone Star Conference as its player of the week for the last three weeks.  Tara Martini took the league's top batting honor on March 18 and 25, while Kelsey Watson was named Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.

In the standings
Four games separate the top five teams in the league, depending on how Cameron does this weekend and how the Midwestern State / Texas Women's series ends the Aggies could find themselves in third place;  Cameron is two games back of Midwestern and three games back of West Texas A&M for second in the LSC.
