Softball drops doubleheader to Oklahoma Christian

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.  â€“ Cameron ended their non-conference slate with 9-0, 3-2 losses to Oklahoma Christian on Tuesday night.

Aggie batters had a hard time figuring out OC pitching with only eight hits between both games.

With the losses to the Eagles the Aggies drop to 25-15 overall.

In game one a pair of big innings by Oklahoma Christian set the Aggies back quickly and they wouldn't recover after getting run-ruled 9-0 in five innings.

OC would rack up four runs in the second and five in the fourth inning as Cameron would only get three hits in the loss.

Breezy McComas would double and get a grand slam stolen in the fourth, Tara Martini doubled to push her reached base streak to 23 games.

Sam Betts (10-6) was charged with the loss going 3 1/3 innings; Betsy Woodall would come out of the bullpen to record the last out.

In the night cap a three run first inning by the Eagles proved to be enough to handle the Aggies in the 3-2 loss.

Paige Daino homered in the fourth and Emily Nix hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth to account for CU scoring plays.   Martini was Cameron's only hitter with two hits and she would score a run.

Kelsey Watson (13-8) settled down after the three run first to allow six hits, all singles in the loss.

Cameron will return to Lone Star Conference action on Friday at Midwestern State for a doubleheader starting at 5 pm.
