About the series
The games on Friday will be the first half of a Lone Star Conference home-and-home doubleheader with the Mustangs.  With both teams locked into the LSC Tournament postseason seeding is the overhanging storyline with Cameron a game back of Midwestern State for fourth.   At Mustangs Park this season the Aggies have found a comfort zone holding a 6-0 record on MSU home turf.   Despite the 6-0 record this season the Aggies are 5-8 in program history at MSU's field with the Mustangs holding the series lead 25-13 over Cameron.

Scouting the Mustangs
Heading into the series with Cameron, the Mustangs has dropped nine of their last 10 games after sitting in first place in the LSC standings and being ranked in the NFCA Coaches' Poll.  As a group the Mustangs are four points ahead of Cameron in batting average (.308) and they are second in the league with 61 homers, doubling CU's total this season.  Katelyn Vinson leads MSU at the plate with a .392 batting average, eight homers, and 36 RBI, and Kim Jerrick is second in the LSC with 13 homers, batting .365 at the plate and she has chipped in 31 RBI.   In the circle, MSU pitchers are allowing just under five runs a game and teams are hitting .316 against them.

Historical Markers
Kelsey Watson needs three strikeouts to be Cameron's eleventh pitcher with 100 in a season; Sam Betts is fourth on CU's career list with 219 in her senior season.  At the plate, with 107 RBI Tara Martini needs three more to move to third all-time at Cameron; Megan Young holds the program mark with 160 from 2006-09.  Martini is also fifth in doubles all-time at Cameron with 34; she needs six more to move to second on CU's list.

Streaking
Tara Martini has gone 24 straight games where she has reached base and Misty Dooley three games back of Martini with 21.  This is the longest active streak for an Aggie hitter since 2009 when Megan Young went 27 games in a row.
