Leading Off
Cameron is making their fourth tournament appearance in a row and eighth in program history. The Aggies haven't fared well in the LSC Tournament with one win that came in 2011 against Southeastern Oklahoma when the tournament featured double-elimination play. However, in this year's tournament field the Aggies have beaten each of the six schools with a 9-12 record overall.

Midwestern State at a Glance
The Aggies trail the overall series against Midwestern 16-26, but have split with the Mustangs in the last ten games. This will be the first time these two teams met in the LSC Tournament since the 2011 season. MSU won 10-2 in five innings to knock Cameron out of the tournament.

The Mustangs are 5-5 in their last 10 games after sweeping a three game series against Tarleton State last weekend at Mustangs Park. MSU is fourth in the LSC with a .314 batting average and fifth in ERA(4.73). Katelyn Vinson has been the leader on offense all season with a .393 average, eighth in the conference, and a team high ten homeruns.

Pitcher Katlyn Holmes is 12-10 this season and has tossed 15 complete games. She is tied for sixth in the LSC with 77 strikeouts and holds the ninth spot with a 4.56 ERA. Holmes pitched a perfect game against Tarleton State last weekend, going five innings and striking out one batter.

West Texas A&M at a Glance
The Aggies trail the overall series 5-17, and have dropped nine of the last ten games against the Lady Buffs. This will be the first postseason meeting between these two teams. West Texas is currently on a 23 game winning streak, the last loss coming at Texas Woman's on March 22.

As a team, WT has the second best batting average(.362) in the LSC and leads the conference with a 2.29 ERA. They also lead the nation with 91 homeruns. Individually, Renee Erwin leads the team with a .481 batting average, putting her at second in the conference. Erwin is also second in the LSC with 17 homers.

In the circle, the Lady Buffs' pitchers have the three lowest ERAs in the conference. Rita Hokianga leads the way with a 2.13 ERA and a 21-2 record. She also leads the league with 219 strikeouts and holds her opponents to a .181 batting average.

Regionally Ranked
The Cameron University softball team moved up a spot in the latest NCAA Division II regional rankings as they are now ranked fifth in the South Central Region when the rankings were released Wednesday afternoon.

The first half of the rankings remained the same as last week's with West Texas A&M, Angelo State, St. Mary's (Texas), and Texas Woman's occupying spots 1-4. Both the Ags and St. Edwards's jumped Metro State and are in the five and six spot, while Metro fell to seven. Midwestern State fell all the way to eight, and Colorado State-Pueblo and Colorado-Colorado Springs flipped places and round out the top-10.

The top two teams in the final regional rankings will host a four-team South Central Regional Tournament with a double-elimination format followed by the winner of those regional facing off in a three-game South Central Super Regional taking place at the highest remaining seed for a chance to advance to the 2014 DII College World Series in Salem, Virginia.

Against the Top-25
Cameron has played twelve games against teams who were ranked in the NFCA National Top-25 and they are 4-8 with a pair of losses in extra innings.

Streaking
Misty Dooley has reached base in 28 straight games. This is the longest active streak for an Aggie hitter since last weekend where teammate Tara Martini saw a 30 game streak come to an end.

Historical Markers
Sam Betts is fourth on CU's career strikeout list with 229 in her senior season. At the plate, with 115 RBI Tara Martini is now third all-time at Cameron; Megan Young holds the program mark with 160 from 2006-09. Martini is tied for second in RBI in a season with 57, Young leads all CU batters with 70 during the 2007 season.

This week in the LSC
West Texas A&M ran its program record win streak to 23 games while claiming the Lone Star Conference Championship this past week with two wins over UTPB before sweeping rival Angelo State in Canyon to move to 50-4 with a 23-4 mark in league play.

The overall LSC Champion will be the team(s) with the best winning percentage in regular-season conference games, while the winner of the postseason championship will be recognized as LSC Tournament Champion and receive the league's automatic qualification into NCAA postseason.

LSC softball teams are 226-184 overall this season. In the NCAA South Central Region, the group is currently 59-38 combined versus Heartland Conference teams and 32-11 against the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
