LAWTON -- After opening up Lone Star Conference play with a 20 point win, the Aggies will face a tough road test when they visit Canyon, Texas on Saturday to face off against the #3 ranked West Texas A&M Lady Buffs in their first conference game on the road.

#3 West Texas A&M (9-2): Jan. 10 at 2:00 p.m. | Live Video | Live Stats | Live Audio | Game Notes

First Tip:
The Aggies earned their first LSC win with a 76-56 win over Eastern New Mexico on Wednesday. After leading by just two points at the half, the Aggie women came out and out-scored the Zias 45-27 in the second half, shooting over 50 percent from both the field and the arc after intermission. A pair of double-doubles from Jazzmine Robinson and Markita Zeigler lead the way for both the CU offense and defense.

Cameron does not expect as easy of a win against West Texas, as history is not in their favor. The Aggies are 35-3 when facing the Lady Buffs, with their last win coming in January of 2012. Last season, CU fell in both of the regular season games, and lost for the third time to WT in the first round of the Lone Star Conference Tournament, 64-53.

About #3 West Texas A&M: After a loss in their opener to UT-Permian Basin, the Lady Buffs had won nine straight games and acquired a #3 ranking in the Division II national rankings, before falling to Midwestern State 77-64 in their LSC opener on Wednesday.

As a team, WT leads the LSC in scoring and shooting accuracy, averaging 76.5 points per game and shooting 47 percent from the field. They also lead the league with 16.2 assists and 11.7 steals per contest.

Individually, West Texas has three players averaging double figures in scoring, with Chontiqua White leading the team and tied at the top of the conference with 18 points per game. White is also second in rebounding with 9.5 rebounds per game, and shoots a league leading 54.4 percent from the field. Additionally, Sasha Watson is averaging 13.3 points, 3.1 assists, and 3.4 steals per game.

Double-Double Machine: Through 10 games this season, the Aggies have already had six double-double performances, just one fewer than Cameron had all last season. Jazzmine Robinson has had four so far this year, with three of them coming in her last three games against Southeastern, Northwestern, and Eastern New Mexico. Robinson is tied at the top of the LSC with 18 points per game, and is in third with 9.3 rebounds per contest.

Deadly From Behind the Arc: Not only are the Aggies the top three point shooting team in the conference, but they are also in the top-25 in three pointer made per game and in the top-40 in three point percentage. Leading the way is Brandi Leal, who is ninth in the nation with 3.2 three point shots made per game, while Jade Herl is tied for 28th with three made per game.

Coming Up: Following the match-up with WT, the Aggies will stay on the road and head to Texas A&M-Commerce to take on the Lions on Wednesday, Jan. 14.
