First Tip: Cameron picked up its second loss after falling 58-56 to UA-Fort Smith on Dec. 5 to move to 4-2 on the season. Now the Aggies will face Great American Conference team Southwestern Oklahoma State whose head coach, Kelsi Musick, was a four-year starter for the Cameron Aggies from 1998-2002 at point guard and helped the team reach their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division II National Tournament during her senior season. Cameron is currently last in the league in rebounding, picking up 35.8 offensive and 44.8 defensive boards per game. However, the team is first in successful three point field goals, notching 8.2 per game behind individual leader Brandi Leal who averages 3.3 for a league high .455. Leal has reached 116 career three-pointers in her 33 games with the Aggies, which is two shy of sixth highest at CU set by Josie Stewart from 2009-11.

Last time out: On Dec. 5, Cameron overcame an 11 point deficit to overtake UA-Fort Smith in the second half, but the Lady Lions knocked a buzzer-beater to best the Aggies 58-56 in the Aggie Gym. Brandi Leal hit four three-point shots and led CU with 15 points while the team held the Lady Lions to a season low 31% on the floor. Charron Montgomery had 14 points and Cristina Soriano picked up 12 as CU others hitting double-figures. Dayla Threatt had a team high seven boards in the loss.  Cameron shot 18-for-54 from the field went 15-for-17 at the charity stripe, while UAFS shot 22-for-71 on their side of the court and the made a season low four treys. In rebounding, CU trailed 52 to 37 with the Lady Lions picking up eight extra second chance points.

About Southwestern Oklahoma: The Lady Bulldogs are 2-5 to start their season and 1-3 in GAC play after picking up their first conference win on Dec. 5 in a 89-78 victory over Southern Arkansas. Center Janae Coffee set a league record with 27 rebounds in a single game, 11 of which were offensive helping SWOSU to 18 second chance points. The redshirt senior also scored a team high 26 points. The team averages 75.7 ppg and allows 77.6 ppg on the opponent's side of the floor. SWOSU has experienced turnover troubles with 15.6 per game but is strong at rebounding, grabbing 45.9 boards per game. Jade Jones is the Lady Bulldogs leading scoring at 14.6 ppg, and she also averages 5.1 assists per game. Coffee is behind her, averaging 10.6 ppg. In their seven games, SWOSU has shot an average of .39% from the field, .34% from behind the arc, and .68% from the charity stripe.

CU vs. SWOSU series: This is the second year in a row and second time overall that the Aggies and Lady Bulldogs have faced each other.  Cameron's last meeting with SWOSU was in Lawton with the Aggies falling 82-68.  Southwestern Oklahoma leads the series 12-27 and they are 14-4 against Cameron in Weatherford.  Under Coach Webb, the Aggies are 4-3 overall and have won their last two road meetings.
