LAWTON -- The Cameron women's basketball team will host Angelo State for their final home game of the season on Saturday. This is Homecoming and Senior Night for the Aggie women, who will honor their four seniors,
Sasha Carter,
Jade Herl,
Noelle Kindred, and
Jazzmine Robinson, for their hard work while wearing the black and gold.

First, the Aggies have to get past Angelo State this weekend.

When CU visited San Angelo, they came away with an 80-69 win. The Aggies shot 50 percent from the field, 47 percent from behind the arc, and 72 percent from the charity stripe, while holding ASU to just 35 percent from the field and 22 percent from deep.
Brandi Leal led the Aggies with 18 points, going 6-11 from downtown.
Jazzmine Robinson chipped in 17 points, while both
Charron Montgomery and
Cristina Soriano both had 11 points. Last season, the Rambelles defeated CU when they visited the Aggie Gym, 71-61.

About Angelo State: The Rambelles are 8-16 this season and their 3-11 conference mark has them in the eighth spot in the LSC standings. However, two of their three wins have come in their last three contests. Most recently, they defeated #24 Midwestern State on Wednesday, 55-53 at home. Diamalises Rivera had 16 points and seven rebounds for ASU, while KeAnna Kelly chipped in 13 points.

Angelo State averages just under 62 points per game, while allowing opponents to score 65.3 against them. As a team, they are shooting 39 percent from the field, 32 percent from the three point line, and 66 percent from the charity stripe. On defense, they are third in the LSC with 2.96 blocks per game, while leading the league in three point defense, holding opponents to just 29 percent shooting from behind the arc.

Individually, Rivera has scored 10 or more points in eight straight games, and had 23 points against the Aggies last time out. She has averaged 13.4 points in conference play and is shooting 53 percent from the field. Additionally, Kelly is scoring just over 10 points per game in conference play.

Regionally Ranked: For the first time in 10 years, the Aggie women were ranked in the NCAA Regional Rankings. They are No. 6 in the south central region which includes teams from the Lone Star Conference, Rocky Mountain Conference, and the Heartland. Three other schools from the LSC were ranked in this week's release, with West Texas A&M and Midwestern State being ranked first and second, and Tarleton State being ranked eighth.

The LSC Three Point Leaders: Cameron leads the conference and is 12th in the nation in three point field goals per game, and also leads the league and are ninth in three point percentage. They have gone 24-51 in their last two contests, with
Brandi Leal and
Jade Herl combining for 23 of those. Leal leads the conference and the nation with 3.8 three per game, while Herl leads the league and is 24th nationally with a .420 three point percentage. They both had six threes in the win over TAMUK,
