Game Notes

First Tip: Cameron's five game win streak was snapped last Saturday in the 79-70 loss to MSU, dropping them to third place in the Lone Star Conference standings, despite a 22 point and 10 rebound double-double from Jazzmine Robinson, and 14 and 12 point games from Brandi Leal and Charron Montgomery. Cameron will have to go through Texas A&M-Commerce and Texas Woman's in back to back days to kick start another win streak.

Cameron took down both teams earlier this season to start their five game run, beating the Lions 65-64, thanks to a career game by Montgomery, and defeating Texas Woman's 77-65 behind a 26 points from Robinson and 20 point from Leal.

About Texas A&M-Commerce: The Lions have won four out of five games since falling to the Aggies, and are on a two game win streak, having beat Texas Woman's and Tarleton State in their last two contests, putting them behind CU in the LSC standings at 5-3 in league play.

They shoot 40 percent from the field, 30 percent from the three point line, and 67 percent from the charity stripe. The Lions lead the LSC in rebounding with 41.2 boards per game, and have the second lowest turnover margin at 1.50.

La'Tisha Hearne leads TAMUC in both scoring (10.6 ppg) and rebounding (8.0 rpg). Additionally, they have the reigning LSC Defensive Player of the Week in Ashlee Johnson, who averaged 3.5 steals in their last two games and was two rebounds and three assists shy of a triple-double against TSU. Johnson is also leading the conference with a 1.7 assist/turnover ratio.

About Texas Woman's: The Pioneers are on a three game losing streak, having lost their last three games to West Texas, Texas A&M-Commerce, and Tarleton State. They are at 5-5 in LSC play and are currently sixth in the conference standings.

Statistically, TWU keeps the score low in their games, scoring 64.4 points per game while holding opponents to just 62.4 points. They shoot just 39 percent from the field as a team, while going 28.5 percent from deep and hitting 71 percent of their free throws. The Pioneers average almost 40 rebounds and 13 assists per contest, and are second in the LSC in blocks and steals, rejecting 4.05 shots and stealing the ball 8.8 times per game.

Individually, Emily Spector leads TWU in scoring and rebounding, averaging 11.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. On defense, Erin Maxwell leads the LSC with 2.2 blocks per game, while Ashley Salazar is second in steals with 2.1 per contest.
