Aggies go pink against OPSU and visit Midwestern State

Leading Off
1.    Cameron is 25-1 overall when leading after four innings and 3-11 when trailing after four innings.
2.    Kelsey Watson won her third LSC Pitcher of the Week award this season after three solid outings at home against Tarleton State.
3.    Breezy McComas is leading CU at the plate with a .400 batting average and after last weekend at home against Tarleton the sophomore has entered the top-10 all-time at CU with 20 homers.
4.    Tara Martini is second in the LSC with 16 homers, her total this season is good for fourth all-time at CU, and with 37 she tied for second.
5.    Cameron needs to win three out of four games this weekend at Midwestern State to clinch a LSC postseason berth.

Going Pink
On Wednesday against Oklahoma Panhandle the Aggies will be sporting pink uniforms for one day only.  Those uniforms can be bid on at CameronAggies.com/SAACauction or at the doubleheader, all the money raised through the auction will go to the Make-A-Wish foundation.   Additionally, pink shirts will be given out to fans in attendance. 

CU Notebook
- Cameron pitchers has the second highest strikeout total in the Lone Star Conference with 198 which is only eight back of last year's season total.
- Cameron maintains the best fielding percentage in the LSC with a .972 or 31 errors, which is six fewer than the next closest program, West Texas A&M. 
- Lauren Renneker is presently riding an eight game hitting streak, Martini has gotten a hit in the last 12 which is one short of a career mark, and Macy McKay has a six game hitting streak.
- Tara Martini needs seven doubles to tie Megan Young (2006-09) who had 55 doubles in her four year career at Cameron; Martini recently became CU's all-time RBI leader with 169.
- Kelsey Watson has eight shutouts this season which is two short of tying Carrie Dilks who had 10 in 2011, Watson has 14 career shutouts which is four short of Dilks' record. 
- Misty Dooley is second all-time at Cameron with 140 career runs in four seasons and Martini is one back of Dooley's career number. 
- Dooley tied a LSC record with five runs against Oklahoma Christian, her mark is highest in a game for an Aggie player.
- Cameron posted their best winning percentage in program history (.596) after finishing with a 31-21 overall record and third highest win total.
- The Aggies have two (Macy McKay and Lauren Renneker) who were on squads that reached the College World Series, McKay in 2012 with Central Oklahoma and Renneker in 2014 with Southeastern Oklahoma; both are Lawton natives.
- Cameron has 10 players who came from the same high school (MacArthur, Cache, Denton-Ryan).
- Lauren Renneker's mother Gladys, coached the Aggie softball program from 1997-2005 and is Cameron's winningest coach with 170 wins.
- There are seven players on Cameron's roster than are from Lawton, with six playing at MacArthur High School.
- Established in 1977, Cameron has the longest continually operating softball program in the Lone Star Conference. 

Oklahoma Panhandle (11-29) April 15 at 1/3 pm | Live Stats | Live Video | Notes
- Cameron has played the OPSU Aggies once this season and won 10-0 in five innings.  CU knocked out four homers with Watson tossing a two-hit shutout with eight strikeouts. 
- Cameron is 16-7 against the Panhandle Aggies and has won the last nine meetings.
- Samantha Arledge leads the OPSU pitching staff with a 5.01 ERA and has struck out 149 batters in 134 innings.
- Anyssa Barbosa was named Heartland Conference Hitter of the Week for April 6-12.  The sophomore from Tennessee Colony, Texas averaged .714 batting last week against - Heartland opponent Newman with a 1.143 slugging percentage. She went five of seven in the three-game series, including four singles and a solo home run.

Midwestern State (20-18, 7-13 LSC) April 17 at 5/7 pm and April 18 at 12/2 pm | Live Stats | Notes
- The Mustangs will host St. Mary's (TX) for a doubleheader on Thursday prior to playing the Aggies. 
- Lost three-of-four in LSC series' against Tarleton State and Texas A&M-Commerce.   However, they took three-of-four against Angelo State who was ranked number-12 in the nation.
- In their four game series at Commerce, three games were decided by one run.
- Weather has allowed for only eight games at Wichita Falls this season.  The Aggies who play 50 miles north of Midwestern State will have 20 home contests by Friday's meeting. 
- Katelyn Vinson leads MSU with 14 homers and has a .301 batting average.
- Sixth highest ERA in the LSC with a 4.47 and while allowing only 22 homers this season which is third best in the league.
- Midwestern holds the overall series lead 28-17 over the Aggies and since 2004, CU is 6-9 in program history when playing the Mustangs at Wichita Falls.

Coming Up
Cameron will travel to Newman University on April 21 for a non-conference doubleheader.
