Lauren Renneker hit safely in 14 straight games after batting .667 in six games last week for the Aggies and was named LSC hitter of the week.

Regionally RankedCameron softball team has held on as the number-5 team in the South Central Region announced on Wednesday in the NCAA's second of three regional polls for the 2015 season.Â
In the poll, the Aggies boast a 30-13 Division II and In-Region record and doesn't count the Aggies' two NAIA wins against Baker (Kan.) and Texas Wesleyan. Â Cameron's split on Monday at Midwestern State and sweep at Newman will be a part of next week's polling process.
West Texas A&M sits atop of the poll followed by Angelo State (32-11-1), Â St. Mary's (35-9), Metro State (32-10), Cameron (30-13), Regis (25-15), Texas Woman's (24-18-2), St. Edward's (25-17) and Tarleton State (25-19), and Midwestern State (20-19).
If the season were to end today Cameron, Metro State, and St. Edward's would travel to West Texas A&M, while St. Mary's, Regis, and Texas Woman's would visit Angelo State for the other regional.
Chasing Records- Cameron needs one victory to set a new program mark for wins in a season, they have matched the 2008 softball squad.
- Martini is five doubles away from passing Megan Young (2006-09) who had 55 doubles in her four year career at Cameron; Martini recently became CU's all-time RBI leader with 177.
- Martini needs four homers to tie a program mark for homers in a career; the record is 43 which was set by her sister Leslie (2008-12).
- Martini is one off from Shareena Pulse who set the record season record 19 homers in 2009,
Lauren Renneker is two back of the season mark.

Kelsey Watson has eight shutouts this season which is two short of tying Carrie Dilks who had 10 in 2011, Watson has 14 career shutouts which is four short of Dilks' record.Â

Misty Dooley and Martini are chasing each other for second place in as the owner of second all-time in runs Cameron. Martini holds a one run lead over Dooley with 146,
CU Notebook- Cameron pitchers have the second highest strikeout total in the Lone Star Conference with 222 which has surpassed last season's total.
- Dooley tied a LSC record with five runs against Oklahoma Christian, her mark is highest in a game for an Aggie player.
- The Aggies have two (
Macy McKay and
Lauren Renneker) who were on squads that reached the College World Series, McKay in 2012 with Central Oklahoma and Renneker in 2014 - with Southeastern Oklahoma; both are Lawton natives.
- Cameron has 10 players who came from the same high school (MacArthur, Cache, Denton-Ryan).

Lauren Renneker's mother Gladys, coached the Aggie softball program from 1997-2005 and is Cameron's winningest coach with 170 wins.
- There are seven players on Cameron's roster than are from Lawton, with six playing at MacArthur High School.
- Established in 1977, Cameron has the longest continually operating softball program in the Lone Star Conference.Â
Angelo State (32-11-1, 14-9-1 LSC)- Angelo State holds a 32-4 controlling lead in the overall series, last season both teams split the regular season meeting in Lawton. Â The Rambelles and Aggies did meet in the NCAA South Central Regional Semifinal with ASU eliminating CU 4-3.
- The Rambelles are entering the series with a four game winning streak after sweeping Texas A&M-Commerce in San Angelo. Â Â
- Leads the LSC with 2.36 team ERA.ASU freshman Brandy Marlett has the lowest individual ERA in the league at 1.60, she also has struck out the most batters (145), and has the lowest held batting average (.201).
- Madison Greenwell leads ASU at the plate with a .374 batting average.
