Game Notes

First tip: The Aggies are on a three game streak after defeating Texas Woman's 75-69 in the Aggie Gym on Wednesday. With the victory over TWU, the Aggies are tied with the Pioneers for third place in the LSC standings. Natalie Halbleib picked up her first career double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.  DJ Vallier continued her strong presence with six blocks which tied a career mark and was one short of a program high; Vallier was the most recent LSC Defensive Player of the Week. Brandi Leal was also named the LSC's Offensive Player of the Week after she averaged 22 points in the Aggies' wins over Angelo State and Texas A&M-Kingsville. The senior knocked down seven three-pointers, which was one short of her own program high against ASU was nearly perfect from the field (6-for-7) with four treys and 21 points against TAMUK.

About Midwestern State: The Mustang women are 4-13 overall and 3-4 in the LSC with all four wins coming at home this season. Junior forward Jennifer Sissel (12.1 ppg) and sophomore guard Whitney Taylor (12.1 ppg) have led the Mustangs in league play. Sissel averages 8.0 boards per game good for second in the LSC, and Taylor has notched double-digit scoring in six-straight games and has nine double-figure outings to lead the Mustangs on the season.  Overall, MSU is shooting 33.9% from the field, 26.6% from the arc, and 65.7% at the line. The squad is third in the LSC in offensive boards (14.1 rpg) but last in defensive rebounds (23.4 rpg).

CU vs. MSU Series: Cameron has dropped their last eight in a row to Midwestern State and has not won in Wichita Falls since Dec. 6, 2005.  The Aggies have five wins overall in 26 visits to their rivals on the south side of the Red River.  Only one meeting between to two programs have went to overtime which was CU's second most recent win in 2002.  The Aggies would need two extra periods to beat MSU 80-72 on their home floor under then head coach Adrian Wiggins.  Those two wins are the Aggies only ones in the NCAA era.  Midwestern State is the only place in the current LSC membership that head coach Tom Webb has not won at and he is 1-10 against MSU.
