About the Aggies
After going 15-11 with a 9-7 Lone Star Conference mark last season, the Aggie women come into the season with high hopes after being selected sixth in the LSC Preseason Poll. Cameron returns seven players from last season's team, including three players who started in 10 or more games. The Aggies will be under a new coach this season for the first time in almost 10 years as first year head coach Emma Andrews and new assistant coach Josh May take the reins of the 2016-17 Aggie women's basketball team.

St. Mary's
Coming off of an 18-10 season last year, the Rattlers where picked fourth in the Heartland Conference Preseason poll, while senior guard Kiara Etheridge was named to the Heartland Preseason Team. STMU fell 72-54 in their lone exhibition game, with Tyra Cormier leading the team with 14 points, while LaBraile Fields had 13 points and eight rebounds and Etheridge had 10 points and seven rebounds.
