Aggie women look for first LSC win against Javelinas

First tip: 
- The Aggies have had a lot of time to think about their 0-2 conference opening weekend, as they have not played a game since Dec. 3. The two week layoff comes after falling to Texas A&M-Commerce and Tarleton State in their first two LSC games, despite scoring 89 points in both games. Against the Lions, CU shot just 28 percent from three point range and went 6-12 from the charity stripe, while TAMUC went 24-31 from the free throw line. In the overtime loss to the TexAnns, Cameron led up until the fourth quarter, when TSU made a run, shooting over 52 percent in the final 10 minutes.  
- CU is currently second in the LSC with 78.6 points per game, while allowing a league worst 79.5 points to their opponents. They are shooting 38.2 percent from the field and 31.4 percent from three point range. The Aggies lead the league with 8.8 three pointers made per game and also in three point defense, in which they hold opponents to just a 24.4 percent clip from the perimeter. Cameron is second in the LSC with 43.5 rebounds per game, with 15.8 of those coming on the offensive end. In the turnover battle, they are third in the conference with a 3.13 turnover margin and lead in steals with 11.3 per game. 
- Savanna James is the team leader in points (13.6) and rebounds (7.8), where she is also sixth in the conference in scoring and third in rebounding. She is also the LSC leader in field goal percentage with a 56.4 clip. Also averaging in double-figures for CU are Charron Montgomery (13.2) and Jamie Bonnarens (12.4). Montgomery is ninth in the LSC in scoring and eighth in steals, while Bonnarens is ninth in scoring, fifth in rebounding, and fourth in field goal percentage. Leading the LSC in three point percentage (41.7) and threes made per game (2.5) is freshman, Ava Battese. Additionally, Brittany Hill is second in the conference in both assists (3.8) and steals (2.6) per game.  

About Texas A&M-Kingsville: 
- Texas A&M-Kingsville is 6-2, and has currently won three in a row. In their last game against #19 St. Mary's, they won 57-43, holding the Lady Rattlers to just 36.7 percent shooting from the field and 13.6 from three point range, and forcing 28 turnovers, with 16 coming off of steals. 
- The Javelinas average just 62.5 points per game, but lead the league in scoring defense, holding opponents to just 54.9 points. They are also tops in the LSC in field goal defense (34.5 percent), while shooting 38.3 percent from the field themselves. TAMUK is shooting 34.6 percent from the perimeter, and 65.2 percent from the charity stripe. They are recording 40.2 rebounds and 14.6 assists per contest, while averaging 2.5 blocked shots and 9.6 steals on the defensive end.
- The Javelinas leading scorer is Kaylin Roher, who averages 12.4 points per game, while Kaylee Kana leads the LSC with 8.9 rebounds per contest. Roar is also tied with CU's Ava Battese for the league's top spot in three point percentage and three pointers made per game. She is also fourth in the LSC in assists (3.5) and steals (2.3).

- Cameron has won five straight against the Javelinas.
- CU is 11-6 against TAMUK at the Aggie Gym, and hasn't lost against them there since 2013.
