First Tip:Â The Aggies are looking to break a two game skid following losses to Texas A&M-Commerce and Tarleton State last week. Cameron fell on the road 53-47 to A&M-Commerce, snapping a four game winning streak by the Aggies. The Aggies out-rebounded the Lions 51-to-46 but 23 turnovers and going 5-for-13 at the free throw line proved to be their undoing. Cameron could not find a consistent rhythm on Saturday as they would fall 73-61 to Tarleton State in the Aggie Gym. The Aggies turned over the ball 18 times which led to 27 points for TSU and at the line, CU struggled going 12-for-21. On both games last week,
Brandi Leal averaged 13.5 points and made nine three-pointers, which gives her 163 in two seasons at Cameron and needs only three to tie Brittany Cooksey (2001-06) for the career record.
About Eastern New Mexico:Â The 8-13 Greyhounds are tied for fifth place in the Lone Star Conference with Midwestern State holding a 3-8 league record. ENMU has dropped their last two contests to Angelo State, 67-53, and most recently 66-48 to Texas Woman's on Tuesday. In the conference, the Greyhounds are shooting 36.4% from the field, 29.1% behind the arc, and 65.2% at the charity stripe. While the squad is last in assist/turnover margin (0.53), they are first in blocked shots, swatting away 5.5 shots per game with Eliza Martinez leading the way recording 1.9 per game. Kassandra Harris leads the Greyhounds in scoring at 14.1 ppg, and Sarah Stinnett has 2.5 steals per game, tied for first in the LSC with West Texas' Madison McLain.
Last Time vs. Eastern New Mexico:Â The Cameron women overcame a 14 point deficit in the first half to rout Eastern New Mexico 82-73 in their first meeting earlier this season.
Dayla Threatt led the Aggie offense with 19 points, eight rebounds and went 10-for- 11 at the line.
Brandi Leal (12 pts),
Brittany Hill (11 pts), and
Charron Montgomery (10 pts) were also in double figures for the Ags. Additionally,
Markita Zeigler grabbed six rebounds. Cameron shot 25-for-60 from the field and went 11-for-21 at the arc, Eastern New Mexico shot 28-for-80 and 11-for-27 from downtown. The Greyhounds struggled at the line, going 6-for-15, while the Aggies shot 21-26 at the charity stripe for 80%. ENMU won the rebounding battle (49- 42) and despite doubling CU's offensive rebounds, the Greyhounds only cashed in 11 second chance points.
CU vs. ENMU:Â The Aggies have won their last four against Eastern New Mexico but trail the overall series 12-19 to the Greyhounds. In Lawton, Cameron holds a 8-6 series lead and have won their last four meetings. This will the 13th meeting with ENMU for Head Coach
