Weekly Notes

Leading Off
1.    Emily Wasinger flirted with a no-hitter at Mid-American Christian until a two-out bloop hit behind the circle in the sixth inning.  The Aggie junior still tossed a complete game one-hitter.
2.    Paige Ramey has a five game hitting streak and is leading the Aggies with a  .462 batting average in 13 at-bats.  In five plate appearances against Mid-American Christian she had two doubles and a triple.
3.    Macy McKay leads the Lone Star Conference with 11 walks this season.
4.    Carly Allerheiligen leads the Aggies with seven multi-RBI games; heading into this season the four-year started only had four overall.
5.    Sonora Zukerman has pitched 23 innings this season and has only given up six earned runs and is batting .413 at the plate with 13 RBI.

DeLong vs. the Weekend
Against the four teams the Aggies will face, two of them will be a first-time meetings under a DeLong led squad.  Cameron is 5-0 against Rogers State and have previously played the Hillcats this season in Southern Arkansas with CU winning 10-2.  Cameron did not play Northeastern State last season but took two wins in 2014 at Midwestern State's Invitational.

Looking Back
The Aggies held Mid-American Christian to one run in a doubleheader sweep on Tuesday afternoon, shutting out the MACU Evangels 7-0 in game one, and capping the day with a 6-1 victory. Zukerman had a 4-for-8 effort in the double header, recording two doubles and three RBI.

Chasing Records
With 34 homers Sonora Zukerman is tied for fifth all-time at Cameron, she needs nine to tie the program mark.  Zukerman also sits at 141 career RBIs which is fourth all-time and she is 49 back of Tara Martini (2012-15) for first.

CU Notebook
- There are four players on Cameron's roster that are from Lawton and played at MacArthur High School.
- Head Coach Rodney DeLong and CU catcher Chelsea DeLong are siblings.
- Established in 1977, Cameron has the longest continually operating softball program in the Lone Star Conference. . 

William Jewell (2-2)
- The Cardinals dropped their first two games of the season falling 7-6 to Missouri Southern and 10-2 to Northeastern State.
- In the preseason GLVC coaches poll, the Cardinals were picked to finish ninth our of 16 teams.
- This is the first meeting between William Jewell and the Aggies.

Northeastern State (5-3)
- Ryan Martin leads NSU with 13 RBI including three homeruns this season, two of which occurred in one game against Arkansas-Monticello where she finished 2-for-3 with seven runs batted in.
- Kayce Wooldridge (3-1) leads in the circle with 1.05 ERA, 24 strikeouts and has held opponents to .194 batting average this season.
- The Aggies have had a long softball history with Northeastern State dating back to 1982 where the two programs squared off in the NAIA District IX Tournament in Weatherford. 

Lindenwood (2-3)
- Maria Tippit led Lindenwood with five hits last weekend, and a .643 on-base percentage. With two home runs Madison Huot leads the team with a .909 slugging percentage, 10 total bases, and five runs batted in.
- Lindenwood's pitching staff has struck out 23 batters in five games.
- The Aggies have not faced Lindenwood in 22 seasons, and they squared off once in 5-4 neutral site matchup on March 25, 1994.

Rogers State (3-6)
- The Hillcats struggled in their season opener at the Southern Arkansas Festival, falling in all five games, but would sweep Mid-America Christian in its home opener.
- Morgen Blanchard leads RSU, batting .444 and has hit five doubles.
- Cameron has won in all five meetings with the Hillcats.
