LAWTON -- The Cameron softball team will open Lone Star Conference play by hosting Texas A&M-Commerce in a two day doubleheader series this weekend. Additionally, there is a game time change to Saturday's contest with the Lions, which is now a 10 a.m. doubleheader start; Friday's game time is unchanged.

The Aggies extended their win streak to eight following a 4-0 weekend at the Northeastern State Invitational, with two games ending in a five inning run-rule. Cameron has moved up to 14-5 in non-conference play after out-slugging William Jewell 17-10 and run-ruled host NSU 11-3 in five innings to begin the invite's opening day. The Aggies then won 8-0 over Lindenwood in five innings and capped the weekend with an 8-1 victory over Rogers State. Emily Wasinger (5-1) picked up two wins, tossing a complete game against NSU, and allowing only one run against RSU. Sonora Zukerman (5-1) also got two wins, one in relief and pitched a near no-hitter against Lindenwood. Cameron would combine 49 total hits with four Aggies hitting homeruns as Annie Combs hit two homers on the series, one for 3 RBI. Meanwhile, Carly Allerheiligen highlighted a seven run fourth inning with a grand slam down the right field line against RSU for a five RBI day at the plate.
