LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron baseball team began their double header with Tarleton State with a 2-1 loss but came back for a 3-2 win in the nightcap on Friday at McCord Field.

In game one, the Aggies struck first in the third inning to take a 1-0 lead after
Victor DeJesus hit a sacrifice fly to score
Leno Ramirez.

However, TSU would hit a solo homer over left field in the sixth and seventh innings for the 2-1 lead and later win as three Ags went down in order in the bottom of the frame.

Gaige Vines (2-1) was charged with loss after pitching a complete seven innings where he allowed both runs and five hits. The Aggies also recorded five hits on offense with
Cody Bower hitting a team best 2-for-3 in the game.

For game two, the Texans paced with an early 1-0 lead until the fifth inning when CU would score three. A pair of bases loaded RBI singles from
Bronson Pulgados and Ramirez brought the Aggies the lead and
Andrew Halverson scored on a fielder's choice for a 3-1 advantage.

In the sixth inning, a bases loaded walk allowed TSU to score another and come within one run, but closer
Javarias Banks would sit down the next five batters in order to earn his second save of the season aside starter
Andrew Garza's win on the mound.

Ramirez highlighted with a 3-for-3 outing at the plate with one run batted in while, Pulgados and
Anthony Acevedo contributed two hits each.

Cameron moves to 15-4 and Tarleton State to 13-6 following the split.
