Game Notes

Starting 5: 
1. Jamie Bonnarens has scored 20 or more points in seven games this season. 
2. Lejha Smith has had four double-doubles this season and nine games of 10 or more rebounds. 
3. Ava Battese has made two three pointers in all but two of CU's 14 games this season.
4. Eastern New Mexico is second in the Lone Star Conference in field goal and three point defense.
5. Western New Mexico is second in the LSC in free throw percentage and Melody McLaughin is this in the league in steals.  

About the Aggies: 
Cameron is on a 1-5 stretch after finishing last weekend with a 1-1 split. They are averaging 64.6 points per game and are giving up 69.4 to their opponents. CU leads the LSC in rebounding and three point shooting as they grab 43.6 rebounds and make 7.4 three pointers per contest. 

Jamie Bonnarens leads the team, league, and is 65th in the nation in scoring while also ranking first in the LSC in field goals made and fourth in rebounding. Leading the conference in rebounding is Bonnarens' teammate, Lejha Smith. Smith averages10.7 boards per contest, which ranks in the top-20 in Division II. She also is second best in the LSC in blocked shots. Ava Battese is the only other Aggie scoring in double-digits (11.1 ppg), while also being the top three point shooter in the league and DII, making 2.8 shots from the perimeter an outing. 

Scouting the Greyhounds: 
Eastern New Mexico has won four out of the last five contests after beating Western New Mexico and Texas Woman's in their last two contacts. Against the Pioneers Mikaehla Connor and Brandi Gomez led ENMU to a two point win as the team held TWU to shooting just 27.5 percent from the field while going just 2-9 from the perimeter.  

Connor leads the Greyhounds with 11 points per game while shooting 45.3 percent from the field and grabbing 5.4 rebounds per contest. Shelby Jones leads ENMU with 6.3 rebounds per game while also scoring 8.2 points per game. Additionally, Gomez is averaging 7.8 points and Kaylee Edgemon is scoring seven points per outing. 

As a team, Eastern New Mexico is second in the league in scoring defense, holding opponents to just 58.9 points per game while shooting 33.8 percent from the field and 25.4 percent from the perimeter. Offensively, the Greyhounds score 59.9 points per outing while shooting 36.4 percent from the field and 30.5 percent from long range. 

The series vs. ENMU:
- ENMU leads the series 22-14.
- The Aggies own a 10-7 advantage over the Greyhounds in the Aggie Gym.
- Last Meeting: February 18, 2017 in Lawton, Okla. (81-72 ENMU win).

Scouting the Mustangs: 
The Mustangs started out 2018 by falling to both Eastern New Mexico and Texas Woman's. Ciara Fields led WNMU with 19 points against the Greyhounds while the team went just 6-22 from three. Fields scored 18 points in the loss to the Pioneers while Jade Bothelho had a 10 point, 10 rebound double-double. 

Fields leads the Mustangs with 12.1 points per game while shooting almost 80 percent from the free throw line. She has hit double-figures in each of WNMU's last five games. Myla Woods-Brown leads the team with 4.6 rebounds per contest, while Melody McLaughin is third in the LSC with 2.1 steals per game.

Western New Mexico averages just 53.9 points per game while giving up almost 73 points to their opposition. They are shooting 34.2 percent from the field, 26.8 percent from three point range, and are second in the LSC in free throw percentage at 73.6 percent. 

The series vs. WNMU:
- CU leads 2-1.
- Before sweeping the Mustangs last season, Cameron hadn't faced WNMU since 1995.
- Lady Meeting: February 16, 2017 in Lawton, Okla. (75-62 CU win).

Looking back:
Cameron split their previous two games as they took down UT Permian Basin, 70-50 and then fell to No. 2 West Texas A&M, 70-49. Against the Falcons, Jamie Bonnarens led the Aggies with a 20 point outing as they team finished the night shooting over 50 percent from the field. The sophomore notched her seventh 20+ point game of the season while Lejha Smith chipped in a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Additionally, Ava Battese scored 11 points and Jazmine Luster had a career high 10 rebounds. Cameron followed that with a below 24 percent shooting day against WT as Bonnarens again led the way with 16 points and seven rebounds. 

Looking ahead:
After they face the Greyhounds and Mustangs, Cameron remains at home for their next two contests as they host Midwestern State on Tuesday, Jan. 16 and then Texas Woman's on Saturday, Jan. 20.
