About the Aggies:
Cameron remained at .500 in the LSC after splitting their last two games against Eastern New Mexico and Western New Mexico. CU is just 3-4 at home this season, but two of those wins have been league wins. Their 90 points against WNMU on Saturday was the second most this season and increased their points per game total to 65.5. The Aggies are shooting 36.5 percent from the field and 30 percent from the perimeter, however, CU leads the conference with 7.3 three point field goals made per contest. They are third in the LSC with 43.8 rebounds per game, ranking number one in the league in defensive boards.

Sophomore, Jamie Bonnarens leads Cameron and the LSC with 17 points per game while also ranking fifth with 7.6 boards per contest and third in assists. She, along with Ava Battese (11.1 ppg), are the only Aggies scoring in double-figures. Battese leads the Lone Star in three point shooting, knocking down 2.8 per game at a 28 percent clip. Additionally, Lejha Smith leads the conference with 10.6 rebounds per game and is second in blocks with 1.9 per outing; she is also averaging 7.8 points.

Scouting the Mustangs:
Midwestern State started out conference season 4-0 and after dropping three straight, the Mustangs are back on a two game win streak after taking down Eastern and Western New Mexico last week.  Their 9-5 record is MSU's best start since the 2014-15 season when they went 13-1 to begin the year. They are currently in third place in the LSC Standings. MSU averages 65 points per game while giving up just 61.4 to their opponents. They are shooting 36.4 percent from the field and 28.1 percent from the perimeter. Despite leading the conference in free throw attempts, The Mustangs are last in the league with a .600 free throw percentage.

Midwestern State is led by Whitney Taylor who is averaging 10.9 points while her teammate, Micheline Mercelita, is right behind her with 10 points per game. Taylor is fourth in the LSC with 28 three pointers made, and Mercelita is ninth in the league with 7.1 rebounds per contest. Additionally, MSU boasts two of the top-10 shot blockers in the league, Hannah Reynolds (1.3) and Avery Queen (0.9), both of which are over 6'2" tall.

Last time vs. MSU:
In their last meeting, Cameron struck for 29 points in the first quarter, but after a 19-9 MSU second they found themselves down 42-39 at the half. However, CU came back and outscored the Mustangs by 10 in the third to build back their lead and win 82-78. Jamie Bonnarens had 11 points in the contest, while MSU's Kristin Rydell had a team-high 20 points and Whitney Taylor chipped in 10.

The Series:
- MSU leads the series 45-26.
- Cameron has won the last four contests against the Mustangs.
- Last Meeting: February 21, 2017 in Lawton, Okla. (82-78 CU win).

Looking back:
Cameron went 1-1 last week, falling to Eastern New Mexico 57-53 in a hard fought battle and then taking down Western New Mexico 90-58 two days later.

Against the Greyhounds, Cameron overcame a 10 point deficit with a 16-9 third quarter, getting them to within three points. However, poor shooting plagued the Aggies the whole game as they shot just 26 percent from the field and 16.7 percent from three. Jamie Bonnarens had a game-high 17 points while grabbing eight rebounds as Lejha Smith had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds while also blocking five shots.

Cameron bounced back with a decisive win over WNMU, outscoring the Mustangs 50-18 in the second and third quarters combined. Andrea Martinez made five three pointers and led the Ags with 16 points while Amaka Nwakamma had 14 points, Bonnarens had 13, Ava Battese had 12 and Parfitt McNair had 10.

Looking ahead:
The Aggies host Texas Woman's on Saturday, Jan. 20 starting at 2 p.m. before going back on the road for their next two contests against Tarleton State and Texas A&M-Commerce.
