LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron University softball team is set to host Oklahoma Christian for a non-conference doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4.
About the Aggies:
The Aggies are coming off of a weekend where they went 1-2 against Texas A&M-Kingsville, moving to 20-11 on the season. After falling in a pair of 3-2 walk-off loses to the Javelinas, CU came back to win the third and final game of the series 4-2.
Bethany Hines held the opposition to just three hits and one earned run while striking out six batters.
Abbey Warren led CU with two hits, while
Raley Long had a pinch-hit, two run homer.
On the season, Cameron is batting .276 as a team with 154 runs scored and 75 extra base hits, including 29 homers. Three Aggie batters are hitting over .320, with
Kaitlyn Alvarado leading the way with a .338 average.
Brenna Busby is hitting .337 with a team best 31 hits, eight homeruns, and 27 runs scored; she also leads the Black and Gold with 14 stolen bases. Additionally,
Annie Combs is batting .325 with a team best 22 RBI, while
Callie Busby and
Madyson Marvulli each have 20 RBI on the season.
In the circle, the Ags have a team ERA of 2.43 with 150 total strikeouts in 213.1 innings.
Rylee Willmon is 10-6 with a 2.22 ERA and 65 strikeouts in 107 innings of work. Hines is 9-5 on the year with a 2.54 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 93.2 innings in the circle.

Oklahoma Christian enters play with a 21-16 overall record, and are on a five game win streak, including a doubleheader sweep of Rogers State on March 28. They are batting .283 as a team with 140 runs scored and 65 extra base hits, including just 10 homers. In the circle, the Eagles have a 3.15 team ERA with 138 total strikeouts in 242.1 innings pitched.
Six OC players are batting over .300 with Madison Nordyke leading the team with a .372 average, 45 hits, and 23 RBI. Additionally, Sheridan Fuller leads the Eagles with 22 runs scored and Jessica Killer has a team leading eight stolen bases. Madison Hagood leads Oklahoma Christian with a 2.62 ERA, while going 6-9 with 74 strikeouts in 96.1 innings of work. Kaylie Upton is 10-2 with a 3.18 ERA in 77 innings, as Nordyke is 5-5 with a 3.36 ERA in 58.1 innings of work.

Cameron will host Eastern New Mexico for a three game Lone Star Conference set, April 6-7. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Friday, beginning at 1 p.m., and then conclude the series on Saturday with a single game starting at 2 p.m.
