LAWTON, Okla. – Due to a schedule change, the Cameron softball team will start their weekend series a day sooner as they visit Texas Woman's for a three game set Thursday and Friday.

About the Aggies:
The Aggies are coming off their fifth straight series win last weekend, going 2-1 against Angelo State. They opened the series with a walk-off 5-4 win thanks to a bases loaded walk by
Alyssa Osterdock in game one.
Bethany Hines pitched a four-hit gem in game to lead CU to a 4-0 win. In the series finale, Cameron lost a 5-4 contest, despite a trio of homers from their two, three, and four hitters.
Cameron enters the weekend hitting .320 with 233 runs scored and 94 extra-base hits, 43 of which are long balls. Seven of CU's nine starters are batting over .300 (min 2PA/G), led by
Khmari Edwards' .395 average. The freshman from Del City, Okla. also has a team high 36 RBI, has eight homers, and is 18-18 on the base-paths. Shortstop
Brenna Busby is batting .370 with 12 homers, 35 RBI, and 19 stolen bases, while
Raley Long,
Callie Busby, and
Breley Webb are all hitting over .340 as well.
In the circle, the Black and Gold have one of the best pitching staffs in the Lone Star Conference, posting a 2.95 ERA with 191 combined strikeouts in 247 innings of work. Webb is 7-1 with a team best 2.39 ERA and 60 K's in 64.1 innings of work. Hines leads the LSC with five saves and is 10-5 with a 2.71 ERA and 69 strikeouts in 85.0 innings pitched. Additionally,
Rylee Willmon is 7-4 in 12 starts with a 3.11 ERA and 41 punch-outs in 72 innings. Â
Scouting the Pioneers:
Texas Woman's is now 10-21 on the season and 8-13 in conference play after being swept by Texas A&M-Commerce in three games last weekend. They recorded just two runs during the series, but also held the hard-hitting Lions to just 4.7 runs scored per game.
Just two Pioneer hitters on hitting over .300 (min 2 PA/G), while the team is hitting just .254 with 94 runs scored and 52 extra-base hits. Paige Tamayo is hitting .366 with five homers, 22 RBI, and 15 runs scored, while Tylia Sylestine is batting .333 with 11 RBI and 13 runs scored.
The TWU arms have combined for a 4.64 ERA and 100 strikeouts in 197.2 innings of work. Bailey Turner leads the way with a 3.03 record while going 7-12 with 61 strikeouts in 106.1 innings of work. Former Aggie Jordan Kisselburg is responsible for TWU's three other wins, posting a 6.71 ERA with 24 K's in 49 innings in the circle.
On Deck:
Cameron will have a full week of action for the Aggie faithful to come watch at McMahon Field next week. They kick things off with a doubleheader against No. 2 Central Oklahoma on Tuesday, Feb. 16, before hosting UT Permian Basin for their final home series of the season, Feb. 18-19.
