LAWTON – Cameron opened the week with a solid win over UT Permian Basin and they look to carry that momentum into the weekend when they host UT Tyler for a pair of Lone Star Conference contests.

STARTING 5:
1. Monday, Cameron snapped their four-game losing skid, beating UT Permian Basin 76-65; the Aggies forced UTPB into 29 turnovers with 17 of those coming via steals, two shy of the program record for a single game.
2. Junior guard Maighan Hedge led the way against the Falcons with her fourth 20-plus point scoring outburst, pouring in 25 points on 10-19 shooting on Monday night.
3. Kiara Lovings scored 17 points, with 15 of those coming on three-pointers, against UTPB on Monday; it was the third time this season that a CU player has had five made triples in a game (Hedge on Jan. 5 and Peterson on Jan. 30).
4. In their third year under veteran head coach Jeannette Mosher, the UT Tyler Patriots are the last winless team in the Lone Star Conference, going 0-9 overall and 0-4 in division play so far this season.
5. UTT does not have any player averaging over 10 points per game, with Azaria Reed, who has only played in five games, being the closest at 9.6 points per outing.

LAST TIME OUT:
Cameron wrapped up their postponed series against UT Permian Basin on Monday, notching their first series sweep of the season with a 76-65 win. It was a sloppy game with 54 total turnovers and 50 combined personal fouls, but CU used a 19-11 first quarter and a 24-17 third to secure the win. Cameron shot over 43 percent from the field and 34 percent from three, but missed half of their shots from the charity stripe, allowing UTPB to hang around late. Hedge led the way with 25 points and five assists, while Lovings added 17 points and had six of CU's 17 steals in the win.

ABOUT THE AGGIES:
Cameron head coach Emma Andrews is hoping their gritty win against UT Permian Basin on Monday gets her team back on track like when they started the season 3-1. The Aggies are averaging 68.4 points per game, shooting almost 38 percent from the floor and 32 percent from three. CU, who usually is tops in the league in three-point offense, leads the LSC in three-point defense, holding teams to just 25.6 percent long range shooting and 4.6 triples per game. Hedge leads the team and is second in the conference with 17.3 points per game to go along with an average of 4.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.8 steals. Sophomore Stephanie Peterson averages 11.8 points, 2.8 assists, and a team-best 6.3 rebounds per outing.

SCOUTING THE PATRIOTS:
The 0-9 UT Tyler Patriots have had a hard time scoring this season, cracking the 50-point mark just twice this season. They are averaging just 42.2 points per game compared to the 68.4 points that opponents are averaging against them. UTT is shooting just 29.6 percent from the field and 23.5 percent from three-point range. They are out-rebounded by an average of 10.2 boards per game and give away the ball 21.3 times per contest. Reed leads the team with her 9.6 points on 36.4 percent shooting, while Taylor Jackson averages 8.0 points and 1.8 steals and Kelsey Crouse averages 7.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per outing.

AGAINST UTT:
Cameron and UT Tyler have met just two times in program history and that was last season, the Patriots' debut season in the LSC. The Aggies had 30-plus point quarters in both of their wins over UTT last season. In the first matchup, CU led by 31-11 after the first 10 minutes of action. They went on to win 84-68 behind 25 points from Hedge, who made seven of CU's 18 three pointers; Peterson added 14 points off the bench. In the second battle, it was the third quarter when CU exploded for 35 points on their way to an 89-66 victory. Hedge flirted with a triple-double (16 points, nine assists, seven rebounds) as CU knocked down 17 triples in the home win.

WHO HAS NEXT:
After playing three straight games at home for the first time this season, the Aggie women will be back on the road next weekend, Feb. 12-13, to face off against the Rattlers of St. Mary's in San Antonio, Texas.
