Wichita Falls, TX – Cameron Falls to Midwestern 56-68.
Cameron Women's Basketball had a tough time on perimeter defense on Monday night. The Aggies allowed six three-pointers in the first half against the Mustangs of Midwestern State. The Mustangs would jump out to a 17-point lead thanks to 50% shooting from the field in the second quarter. Despite the Aggies pressuring the ball at every turn and forcing multiple turnovers, Midwestern State would take a 10-point lead into the locker room at half time.
The Aggies would hold their opponent to 35% shooting in the second half, but fouls late in the game would put the nail in the coffin as the Mustangs, who did not shoot a free-throw the first half, would finish the game shooting 80% from the charity stripe.
Katie King led the Aggies offensively with 18 points.
Korie Allensworth ended the game with a double-double, 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Cameron will return after the Holiday break on Jan. 4 when they take on Lubbock Christian at home.
