Portales, NM – Three Aggies score in double digits in road win.
After 13 lead changes, 11 ties, and overtime, the Women's Basketball team emerged victorious.
The largest lead of the game came early in the first quarter when the Aggies jumped out to an eight-point advantage. The Greyhounds answered and would take a six-point lead in the third quarter. The rest of the game would be a back and forth as both teams fought to take control of the game. With ENMU holding a two-point lead,
Shamica Smith would hit a layup to tie the game at 55. A missed layup from the Greyhounds would send the game into overtime. Cameron would dominate the overtime period and would go on to win the game 72-68.
Shamica Smith led all players with 28 points and 11 rebounds.
Katie King and
Korie Allensworth both added 16 points each in the victory.
The Aggies finish their road trip at Western New Mexico University on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 1:00 p.m. CST.
