2025 LSC Softball Tournament Bracket Announced

The eight-team bracket for the 2025 Lone Star Conference Softball Tournament is set following completion of the conference season. The 28th edition of the conference tournament is scheduled Thursday through Saturday (May 1-2-3) and hosted by No. 1 seed West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas.
 
West Texas A&M and UT Tyler tied for the regular-season title going 40-4 vs. LSC opponents with WT earning No. 1 seed by virtue of the LSC tiebreaker The top seed also hosts the LSC tournament.
 
Play begins in the single-elimination tournament with four quarterfinal games on Thursday. The day opens with No. 3 Angelo State vs. No. 6 Eastern New Mexico at 11 a.m. followed by No. 2 UT Tyler vs. No. 7 Cameron at 1:30 p.m. The second set of quarterfinal games features No. 4 Oklahoma Christian vs. No. 5 Lubbock Christian at 5 p.m. and closes with No. 1 WT meeting No. 8 St. Edward's at 7:30 p.m.
 
Two semifinal games are scheduled for Friday afternoon with the No. 3/6 winner vs. No. 2/7 winner at 2 p.m. and the No. 4/5 winner vs. No. 1/8 winner at 5 p.m.
 
The two semifinal winners meet in the LSC Tournament championship game scheduled Saturday at 2 p.m. The winner of the tournament earns the LSC automatic qualifying berth to the Division II Softball Championship.

The 2025 Tournament Qualifiers
 
No. 1 seed West Texas A&M (50-4, 40-4 LSC) is the defending LSC Tournament champion and is in search of a seventh tournament title. The Lady Buffs are ranked No. 1 in the NFCA Coaches Poll and second in the NCAA Division II South Central Region. WT is making a 16th appearance in the conference tournament. The Lady Buffs are the West Division champion.
 
No. 2 seed UT Tyler (49-4, 40-4 LSC) makes its fourth LSC tournament appearance. The Patriots won the 2023 tournament and finished runner-up a year ago. UTT is currently ranked No. 1 in the NCAA Division II South Central Region and No. 3 in the NFCA Coaches Poll. The Patriots won the East Division championship.
 
No. 3 seed Angelo State (43-11, 34-10 LSC) is playing in its 22nd LSC Tournament and owns a league record seven LSC tournament titles, the last in 2018. The Rambelles rank No. 3 in the NCAA Division II South Central Region and list at No. 7 in the NFCA Coaches Poll.
 
No. 4 seed Oklahoma Christian (36-18, 29-15 LSC) is playing in its fifth straight LSC Tournament, finishing runner-up in 2023. The Eagles are ranked No. 4 in the Division II South Central Region listing and No. 16 in the NFCA Coaches Poll.
 
No. 5 seed Lubbock Christian (35-19, 26-18 LSC) qualified for its fifth consecutive LSC Tournament after posting its best finish in 2024 when it advanced to the semifinals. The Lady Chaps are ranked No.8 in the Division II South Central Region ranking.
 
No. 6 seed Eastern New Mexico (30-24, 23-21 LSC) qualified for a third consecutive LSC Tournament and its fifth in program history. The Greyhounds were the tournament runner up in 2001 and advanced to the quarterfinals in both 2023 and 2024.
 
No. 7 seed Cameron (29-23, 22-22 LSC) is making a 14th straight trip to the LSC Tournament and 17th overall. The Aggies' made tournament semifinals appearances in both 2015 and 2023. Cameron ranks No. 9 in the Division II South Central Region.
 
No. 8 seed St. Edward's (27-27, 21-23 LSC) returns to the LSC Tournament field for a fourth time after missing last year's event. The Hilltoppers hold the No. 10 spot in the Division II South Central Region ranking.
 
Notable
Each game of the LSC Softball Tournament will be live streamed on FloCollege and included as part of FloCollege subscription options.  ...  The winner of the tournament will be named the LSC Softball Tournament champion and earn the league's automatic qualification to the 2025 NCAA Division II Softball Championship. The selection show for the national tournament is May 5 at 9 a.m. CT on NCAA.com. The national tournament begins with the South Central Regional held May 8-10 at sites to be determined. Super Regionals are May 15-16 and the finals May 22-28 in Chattanooga, Tenn.
