Lawton, Okla. - Cameron Baseball dropped the series opener against Lubbock Christian, 9-7, after play resumed on Saturday afternoon.
Lubbock Christian got on the board first, scoring two runs in the top of the first inning. Cameron tied the game in the bottom of the second after scoring two runs on two errors from the Chaps, and took the lead in the bottom of the third after Wyatt Cunningham scored on another error. Lubbock Christian took back the lead after a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth and extended their lead in the top of fifth. The Chaps plated another run in the top of the eighth, to make it a 9-3 game. The Aggies scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth off a Diego Villarreal RBI single, a 2 RBI double from Zane Roos, and an error which scored Roos, but the rally came up short.
