LAWTON, OK – Cameron dropped a 12-5 decision to Lubbock Christian on Friday at McCord Field after falling behind early.
Lubbock Christian scored three runs in the first and four in the second to take control, extending the lead to 8-0 through three innings. Cameron responded in the third with RBI efforts from Jackson Harrell, Daniel Yardley, and Sutton Titsworth to cut the deficit to 8-3. The Chaparrals added four more runs across the fifth and sixth innings to push the lead to 12-3. Cameron plated two in the seventh on an RBI double from Zane Roos and an error, but could not rally further. Diego Villarreal led the Aggies at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two walks and two runs scored, while Yardley added two hits and an RBI. Roos contributed a double, RBI, and run scored. On the mound, Jaylen Cream took the loss, while Jordan Hodges struck out three in relief and Nate Jacobson tossed 3.1 scoreless innings with four strikeouts.
