Lawton, Okla. – The Cameron University baseball team dropped both games of a doubleheader to Lubbock Christian on Sunday afternoon at McCord Field.
In game one, Cameron fell 7-1 after Lubbock Christian struck early and never looked back. The Chaparrals plated two runs in the first inning and added two more in the fourth, highlighted by a two-run home run from Tanner Pachorek. Cameron's lone run came in the bottom of the first when Wyatt Cunningham launched a solo home run to right field. Lubbock Christian added three runs in the seventh to put the game out of reach.
In game two, Cameron mounted a late rally but came up short in an 8-5 loss. Lubbock Christian jumped ahead early, including a two-run home run from Jorge De Los Santos in the first inning and a four-run fifth inning to extend the lead. Cameron cut into the deficit in the seventh, scoring four runs behind RBI hits from Jackson Harrell and Sutton Titsworth, but the comeback effort fell short.
