Cameron University Athletics

2017 (Senior): Made three starts and appeared in 17 games during his final season at CU. Banks was 6-3 with three saves in 44 innings pitched, while leading the team with 56 strikeouts and a team low .206 opposing batting average. Struck out nine batters in 4.1 perfect innings in the winner of UT Permian Basin on April 9. Had a two hit shutout against Texas A&M-Kingsville where he struck out seven batters in the win; named LSC Pitcher of the Week after that performance. Received All-LSC Honorable Mention. 

2016 (Junior): In the win over East Central (2/6), he pitched 7 innings with 7 strikeouts... He got the win against SNU (2/13) with 6 IP and 10 strikeouts... He got the win over William Jewell (2/21)... Threw 6 innings against WTAMU (3/14), striking out 10 batters and only allowing 3 hits... Pitched 2/3 of an inning of relief against Tarleton (3/19) and got the save... Got the win against ENMU (4/2) with 4.0 IP, 6 strikeouts and only allowing 2 hits.

2015 (Sophomore): At Texas A&M-Kingsville he pitched 8 innings and recorded 4 strikeouts (4/11)... In game 2 against Tarleton State he threw 6 innings and struck out 6 batters (4/20)...

Prior to Cameron: Played one year at Bossier Parish Community College... Recorded 78 innings of work with 83 strikeouts and a 2.06 ERA... Finished in the Top 20 in JUCO in strikeouts and ERA... Named second team All-Conference.

High School: Lettered three years at Desoto High School... Was named to the All-District Team.

Personal: Son of Dwain Banks and Yolande Galloway. His uncle, Gilbert Galloway, played professional baseball.
