Box Score 2 WEATHERFORD, Okla. -- The Cameron University baseball team beat Southwestern Oklahoma State in both of their contests played on Tuesday afternoon at SWOSU.
Cameron 3, Southwestern Oklahoma State 2 (11 inn)
It took extra innings, but the Aggies we’re able to get their first win of the season beating Southwestern Oklahoma State 3-2.
The Bulldogs were the first team on the board, scoring one run in the second on three hits. 
Cameron got things going in the third inning. Keaton Green smacked a single to centerfield and then advanced to third on another single for Tomas Galvin. Green would then score on a Nick Smith single to right field. The next batter, Brad Blumer, belted a single to right to drive in Galvin and give the Aggies a 2-1 lead.
SWOSU came back in the fourth inning and tied the score with a double form Dietrick Tur.
Both teams would battle it out and the score would remain tied at two through the seventh inning and into the eleventh. 
Green kicked off the inning with a single to left center field. Thomas Galvin kept it going with a single through the left side that advanced Green to second. The runners would then advance on a fielder’s choice that gave the Aggies runners at second and third with one out. Brad Blumer came to the plate and got an infield single that allowed Green to score the go-ahead run.
Cameron would eventually hold the Bulldogs in the bottom of the inning to preserve the win.
The Aggies were led by Blumer, who was 4-5 with two RBI’s. Additionally, Green was 2-5 and scored two runs for the Aggies, Galvin went 2-5 with a run scored, and Smith went 1-5 with an RBI.
Drew Reidt pitched six innings, gave up two earned runs, and four strikeouts. Aaron KleeKamp got the win for CU going two innings and striking out one.  
Cameron 10, Southwestern Oklahoma State 4 (7 inn)
The scoring got started in the bottom of the first when SWOSU got two runs on two hits in the inning.
Cameron would return the favor in the top of the third when Keaton Green scored on a fielder’s choice and Brandon Raidy scored on a throwing error. Tyler Cox doubled two batters later and drove in Galvin. Blumer would score later on in the inning. Kaz Sanders then hit a sac fly to left to score Cox, which gave CU five runs on three hits in the inning.
CU added on two more in the fourth, with two RBI singles, one by Blumer and one by Cox.
In the top of the fifth, Cameron would tack on two more runs to give them a nine run lead. Both runs in the inning were unearned.
The Bulldogs would add a run in the sixth and a run in the seventh, but could not get any rallies started to catch up with the Aggies offense.
Cameron’s pitcher, Brian Schwabe pitched a complete game, giving up two earned runs and striking out five.
Cox went 3-5 with two RBI’s and one run scored. Blumer added to his impressive first game with a 2-5 game with an RBI and a run scored. Sanders added two more RBI’s as he went 2-3 in the game. Additionally, Raidy went 3-4 with two runs scored and Green was 2-4 with two runs scored.
The Aggies will head back home and prepare for their three game series this weekend against William and Jewell. The first game Saturday will start at 1 p.m. at McCord Field.
