Box Score DURANT, Okla. – The Cameron University baseball team fell to Southeastern Tuesday afternoon in a single nine inning game, 9-3.

With scoreless first and second innings, it looked like the game would be a pitcher’s duel, but CU kicked off the scoring in the top of the third inning after four straight walks that scored CU’s Dalton Hilliard. The Storm answered in the bottom of the inning, getting a run off of an Aggie error.
Southeastern would continue the scoring in the fourth inning. After a CU pitching change, Jordan Watson came in and walked the first batter he faced and hit the next one. After a SE single up the middle that loaded the bases, Trevor Bowen drove in two more runs on a single to the right side. That was followed by a fielder’s choice by catcher, Josh Smith, that scored another run.
The teams both scored a single run in their respective frame of the fifth inning. Cameron got their second run of the game off of Kaz Sanders RBI single that scored Nick Smith who doubled earlier in the inning. The Storm answered in the bottom of the inning with a Chalk sacrifice fly to center that scored Troy McCartney.
After a scoreless sixth inning, Southeastern had another three run inning in the top of the seventh. Chalk singled to drive in their first run of the inning and then scored on a two run single to center from Nick Grimmett.
Cameron chipped away at the lead in the top of the eighth, scoring a run off of Dalton Hilliard RBI single that scored Brandon Raidy, who previously reached on an fielder’s choice. Unfortunately, that would be the Aggies last run of the ball game.
Southeastern would add one more run in the bottom of the eighth inning, off of a Caraway sac fly, making it 9-3.
Cameron's Jordan Watson got the loss, making him 0-2 on the season, going 1.1 innings and giving up four runs. The Aggies used five pitchers in the game.
