LAWTON, Okla. – The Cameron University baseball team gets swept in a doubleheader with Angelo State Saturday afternoon at McCord Field, giving the Ram's a 2-1 lead in the final home series for CU.
The Aggies (12-28, 6-17 LSC) got a win on Friday afternoon to go up 1-0 in the series against ASU, but could not hold off the ASU offense today. Cameron's offense got five hits in both contests to give them 10 for the day. The Aggies also had a total of four defensive errors in the doubleheader, with two in each game.
Angelo State (29-16, 13-10 LSC) had an offensive mojo going on today as they had 10 hits in game one and then 22 in the second contest of the day. Fielding errors plagued the Ram's in both games as they committed four errors in both games, giving them a total of 12 on the series.

ASU put a run up in the top of the first inning, but CU tied the game in the bottom of the third inning, after Tomas Galvan scored on an error by the Ram's shortstop.
Cameron took the lead in the bottom of the fourth, with Brad Blumer scoring on anther ASU error. That lead would not last, as Angelo State got two runs in the top of the fifth inning and three more in the top of the seventh. The Aggies would go scoreless in the last three innings.
Steve Matta received his fourth loss of the season as he went 4.1 innings with three earned runs, six hits, and three walks.
CU had no RBI's in game one, as both of their runs came on errors. Kas Sanders was 2-4 in game one and was the only Aggie with multiple hits in the contest.
The Ram's got an excellent start from Jake Feckley (8-3), who went six innings, gave up no earned runs on five hits, with four strikeouts.
Lee Neumann was 3-3 with three runs driven in and one scored in the first half of the double header, one of which was a solo homerun in the top of the seventh. Additionally, Tyler Coughenour drove in two runs and both Ryan Greer and Hunter Choate had two hits apiece.

Game two was disastrous from the start as the Ram's had a five run inning in the first and then a six run inning in the second. Cameron chipped away at the lead in the bottom of the fourth though, getting four runs off of a Brandon Raidy grand slam.
The Ram's kept it coming as they scored a run in both the third and fourth innings. The Aggies also got a run in the fourth on a Sanders groundout that scored Galvan.
Angelo State then scored a run in the top of the fifth inning and then struck for three in the top of the sixth. Cameron scored their sixth and seventh runs of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning, as Galvan scored again, this time on a passed ball, and Colton Davis crossed home on a grounder by Acosta, who was able to reach base safely on an error.
As if a 10 run lead wasn't enough, ASU would add four more runs in the top of the seventh innings, making it 21-7. A quick bottom of the seventh for the Aggies ended the game.
Aaron Kleekamp earned the loss, and falls to 3-5 on the season. The Aggies got four RBI's from Raidy, via his grand slam, while Blumer supplied two of the CU's five hits in the game. Galvan was able to score twice, but without any hits.
In a rare situation, neither the starter nor the first relief pitcher got the win for the Ram's. The win went to Bryce Zak (5-1), who went three innings, gave one run on two hits, and struck out seven.
Neumann continued to have a hot bat, as he went 4-5 with three runs scored and four driven in. Additionally, David Goggin was 4-5 with three runs scored and four driven in, and Ryan Greer was 3-4 with three runs scored and three driven in.
The Aggies and Rams will conclude the four game series Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. in a single nine inning game.
