| Live Stats | Live VideoLAWTON – The Aggies will look to win their first Lone Star Conference series of the season against Tarleton State at McCord Field beginning Saturday. Cameron has taken one of four games in both of its LSC series thus far against Texas A&M-Kingsville and West Texas A&M to bring their conference record to 2-6 and are 13-6 overall.
In their most recent contests against WT, the Aggies split the opening doubleheader, with the Buffs taking game one 6-3, and the Aggies rallying back from three runs down to take the nightcap 6-3. In the Aggie win,
Tyler McKinzie and
Brandon Wright both had two RBI games with CU getting eight hits. The following day, Cameron coughed up a seventh inning 4-2 lead in the opener with two runs and WT would get the winning run in the eighth.
Javarias Banks started the contest striking out ten Buff batters in the no-decision. West Texas A&M controlled the final game from start to finish with the Aggies committing five errors.
About Tarleton State (10-10, LSC 4-4)- The Texans won their first LSC series last week, taking three of four against Eastern New Mexico.
- TSU has two hitting above .300 in Landon Thompson (.375) and Alec Humphreys (.367). Humphreys played a key role for the Texans, hitting .471 against ENMU and led his team with 7 RBIs on the series.
- As a team, Tarleton State is batting .266 with a 6.00 ERA pitching staff, but lead the league defensively, fielding .975.
-Trevor Renfro (4-0) leads on the mound with a 3.09 ERA and has struck out 43 batters this season.
