Softball travels to Texas for Lady Buff Invite

LAWTON, Okla. – The Aggie softball team will compete in a series of non-conference games at the West Texas A&M Lady Buff Invite Feb. 10-11 before entering LSC play the following weekend.

Cameron was originally slated to play five games over three days, but due to inclement weather expected to hit the area on Sunday, the Aggies will now play three games on Friday and two on Saturday.

Cameron is 5-3 overall after their most recent double header sweep of Southeastern Oklahoma State on Tuesday, taking game one 3-2 and winning the night cap 8-4. It was the Aggies' and Savage Storm's first meeting since 2012 and marked CU's first victories over SEOSU since 2011 in Durant.

Freshman Callie Busby leads the Aggies with a .500 batting average. She has recorded 11 hits this season and went 3-for-7 with 2 RBI and three total runs against the Savage Storm. Fellow freshman Brianna Busby also highlighted CU with a 3-for-5 outing for 3 RBI. She also recorded two doubles and a triple during the double header.

Freshman pitcher Bethany Hines batted in 3 runs on Tuesday while also pitching a complete game win and earned the save in the nightcap following Alyssa Osterdock's 4.1 innings of work.
