LAWTON, Okla. – Aggie spring sports will be in full swing during Cameron University's Spring Break this week the softball, baseball, men's and women's golf teams, and men's and women's tennis teams will all be in action.

Women's golf will be competing in the Midwestern State Invitational in Wichita Falls, Texas. The invite consists of 20 teams, including six in teams that are ranked in the top-25 GolfStat rankings. Played at the Wichita Falls Country Club, the MSU Invite will be a 36-hole tournament with a single round on both Monday and Tuesday. The course is the site of the 2017 Division II Super Region Four Championship, which will be played in May. Cameron, who finished in fourth at their last tournament a week ago, will start teeing off at 9:30 on Monday morning, as they are paired with Newman and Texas A&M-Commerce.

Men's golf will compete in the 54-hole Arkansas Tech Dave Falconer Classic on Monday and Tuesday, a week after finishing sixth in their first event of the spring. Daniel Nielsen was named last week's Lone Star Conference Men's Golfer of the Week after placing 10th and finishing with a three round score of 222 at the Lubbock Christian Invite. The ATU Falconer Classic will be played at the Chamberlyne Country Club in Danville, Ark.

Men's and women's tennis will continue their stretch of five matches in six days, visiting Spring Hill on Tuesday and then West Florida on Wednesday. The Spring Hill men saw a streak of six straight wins broken by two straight losses in the previous two matches, while the women are 6-11 on the season. The West Florida men's team is ranked ninth in the nation, with the no. 1 and 12 ranked doubles teams in all of Division II, while their women's team is ranked seventh in the ITA.

Softball has a pair of series this week as they visit USAO on Wednesday for a doubleheader and then Midwestern State for a three game series on Friday and Saturday. The Aggies are now 21-6 on the season and 10-2 in Lone Star Conference play after winning a three game series against Tarleton State two games to one this past weekend.  Bethany Hines is leading Cameron with a nation best 15 wins, while the twin duo of Callie Busby and Brenna Busby have combined for 57 hits, 34 runs, and 49 RBI. USAO is 18-9 this season with a team batting average of .318 and a team ERA of 3.13. MSU is 12-16 this season with a 3-9 LSC record. They most recently got swept by Texas A&M-Commerce in three games, scoring just four runs during the series. The Mustangs are batting just .264 as a team and have a team ERA of 4.28.

The Aggie baseball team is now 15-6 on the season after losing their series with Tarleton State this past weekend three games to one. After splitting a pair of low scoring games on Friday, with TSU taking the first game 2-1 and CU winning 3-2 in the second game, the Texan offense showed up in the third and fourth games of the series as they won 8-0 and 15-2. While the four game series was against a Lone Star Conference opponent, it did not count against CU's conference record. The Aggies are hitting .332 as a team with 159 runs, but they have a team ERA of 5.96 and an opponent's batting average of .271. They face Texas A&M-Kingsville in a four game series this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Javelinas are ranked no. 10 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association (NCBWA) Top-25, and are now 11-4 on the season after being swept in a four game series against no. 15 West Texas A&M this past weekend.
