LAWTON, Okla. – The No. 17 Cameron women's tennis team beat Northwest Missouri State 6-3, while the 16 ranked men lost 8-1 to the No. 12 Bearcat men on Tuesday afternoon.

The Aggie women started out the match up 2-1, winning two out of the three doubles matches. Zhenia Shviadok and Mathilde Thibaudat got the win in the one doubles spot 8-1, while Paula Gutierrez and Samantha Wood won 8-5 in the two spot. CU fell in the third match by default to do an injury.

In the women's singles matches, all but Magdalena Kovinic in the five spot won their match to give CU four points to get the win, while NWMSU won the six spot by default as well as the five singles match.

In the men's match, CU's only point came in the one doubles match as Felipe Oyarzun and Mateo Velasco won 8-6. The Bearcats one and two singles players are ranked in the top-45 in the ITA national rankings.

The Cameron women are now 6-5 and the NW Missouri is 1-8, while the Aggie men are now 8-8 and the Bearcats are 8-2.

On Wednesday, the CU women will play Lone Star Conference foe Tarleton State and then visit Southeastern Oklahoma, while the men don't play until March 29, when they visit the Savage Storm.
