LAWTON, Okla. – The Aggie softball team will head west to take on Eastern New Mexico in a three game series, starting with a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. central time on Friday, April 7 and then concluding with a single game at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, April 8.
The now 25-13 Aggies are coming off being swept and shutout in a doubleheader by Central Oklahoma on Tuesday; CU only had four hits on the day. However, last weekend the Black and Gold took two games from Texas A&M-Kingsville, winning 9-2 and 11-10 in a walk-off win; game three was canceled due to weather.
Cameron is sitting in third in the Lone Star Conference standings with a 13-4 league record; they are receiving votes in the National Fast Pitch Coaches' Association Poll.
The Aggies are batting .277 as a team with 189 runs scored and 93 extra base hits, including 30 homeruns and a LSC leading 12 triples. In the circle, they have a team ERA of 3.21 with 116 total strikeouts and a .302 opposing batting average. Defensively, CU has a .961 fielding percentage and is 67 of 89 on the base paths.
Individually,
Breezy McComas is leading Cameron with a .330 average, while scoring a team high 29 runs and driving in 20 RBI. She has six homers on the season, and is just two long balls away from tying the Aggie program career homer record.
Paige Daino is leading the team and ranked in the top-10 with eight homeruns this season, and she is just three away from tying the record. She and
Brenna Busby are tied for the team lead with 27 RBI this season.

Bethany Hines ranks third nationally and first in the LSC with 19 wins, while recording 96 strikeouts in 153.2 innings of work.
Alyssa Osterdock is 6-8 on the season with a 3.57 ERA in 88.1 innings pitched. She also had the walk-off hit two score the game tying and winning runs in game two against Texas A&M-Kingsville.
Eastern New Mexico is 18-27 overall this season, and has gone 10-11 in league play. Most recently, the lost two out of three at Texas A&M-Commerce and then split a doubleheader with Oklahoma Christian. They are hitting .289 as a team with 233 runs scored and 104 extra base hits, including 27 homers. The Greyhound pitching staff has accumulated a 6.11 ERA with 132 total strikeouts and a .357 opposing batting average.
Erikka Burke leads ENMU at the plate, hitting .357 with 35 runs scored and 40 RBI, which are both top-10 in the LSC. She also leads the conference with 12 homeruns and has a slugging percentage of .744. Also hitting over .300 for Eastern is Courtney Vigil, Cameron Conrad, and Susannah Chandler.
Kaylee Rogers is their workhorse in the circle, as she has a 14-13 record and a 4.21 ERA in a league high 163 innings pitched. She also has 77 strikeouts and an opponent's batting average of .314.
Following their three game series with the Greyhounds, Cameron will return home for a three game showdown with No. 9 West Texas A&M, who currently leads them by half a game in the league standings.
