LAWTON, Okla. -- The Aggie women's basketball team will look to get to .500 in Lone Star Conference play as they host Eastern New Mexico on Thursday and No. 14 West Texas A&M on Saturday.

1. Cameron freshman
Maighan Hedge has scored 10 or more points in all but three of CU's 18 games this season and scored 20 or more five times.Â
2. Despite making just three shots from the perimeter against Angelo State, the Aggies still lead the Lone Star Conference and are ranked in the top-20 nationally in three pointers made, attempted, and made per game.Â
3. Eastern New Mexico's Alivia Lewis averaged 11.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, and four blocks last week and was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts, her third conference honor of the season. Â
4. West Texas A&M's Lexy Hightower was named the LSC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time after averaging 20.5 points, 3.0 assists, while shooting over 45 percent from the field last week.Â
5. The Lady Buffs are ranked No. 14 in the nation by the WBCA and No. 20 by D2SIDA, while statistically, they rank second in field goal percentage and 19th in assists per game and three point percentage.Â
About the Aggies:Â
Cameron is now 7-11 overall and 4-6 in league play after their fourth straight 1-1 split week. They fell by 35 at Angelo State before beating Texas A&M-Kingsville by six, 80-74. CU shot just 32.8 percent against the Belles led by
Parfitt McNair's 16 points off the bench, and then bounced back to shoot 40 percent while making nine three pointers against the Javelinas. Hedge led the squad with 21 points, while
Natalie Halbleib added 19 and McNair and
Lejha Smith each reached double-figures.Â
The Aggies are averaging 70.7 points per game while giving up 76.5 to their opposition. They are shooting 39.5 percent from the floor, 34.5 percent from long range, and 65.8 percent from the foul line. Cameron averages just 0.1 more rebounds than their opposition with 41.2, including an LSC best 28.8 defensive boards per contest. They also average 11.8 assists, 6.2 steals, and 3.3 blocks per game.Â
Hedge leads the squad with 14.6 points and 2.8 assists per outing while shooting over 42 percent from both the field and three point range. Halbleib is not far off of her teammate with 13.9 points per game, while also leading CU with 6.8 rebounds, which is tied with her teammate Smith, who also leads the team with 1.4 blocks per outing.Â
Scouting the Greyhounds:Â
The Greyhounds are one of the top teams in the LSC right now, sporting a 13-5 overall record and an 8-2 conference mark. They are coming off a split last week where they fell to WT 72-61 and beat Texas Woman's 79-78. Treyanna Clay and Jena Mehlbrech led ENMU with 13 points each against the Lady Buffs on a night where the team shot 35.5 percent from the field and just 18.8 percent from three. Against the Pioneers, Eastern had to go to overtime to earn the one point win. Once again the struggled from deep, but forced TWU into 26 turnovers with 13 coming off steals. Clay once again led the way with 23 points, while Zamorye Cox and Lewis added 14 points each.Â
The Greyhounds average just over 71 points per game while holding the opposition to just 63.4. They average 16.2 assists and 10.1 steals as a team. Clay leads the team with 14.4 points per game, while shooting over 43 percent from the floor and 74.3 percent from the foul line. Cox is averaging just over nine points an outing and Lewis averages 8.2 points to go along with 9.8 rebounds and 2.0 blocks.Â
Last Time Against ENMU:
Earlier this season, Eastern New Mexico took down the Aggies 85-65 in Portales. The Greyhounds shot just 40.8 percent from the field, while going 7-18 from three and 16-25 from the foul line. They also turned CU over 24 times, 16 of those came off steals. Clay led the home team with 16 points, while Okey and Dasia Johnson scored 14 each and Lewis had a game high 12 rebounds and two blocks. Cameron was led by Halbleib with 15 points and Smith with 10.Â
Scouting the Lady Buffs:Â
West Texas A&M has won two straight and now sits at 16-2 overall and 8-2 against league opponents. They went 2-0 last week, beating Eastern New Mexico 72-61 and TWU 80-63. Hightower led the way with 27 points on 11-20 shooting against the Greyhounds, and then had 14 against the Pioneers. Tyesha Taylor led the squad with 23 points against TWU, while Deleyah Harris added 20 points and Megan Gamble recorded 13 assists.Â
The Lady Buffs average 75.9 points and are outscoring the opposition by 14.3 points. They are shooting over 50 percent from the floor and average a league best 17.8 assists per outing. Taylor leads the way with a 16.2 scoring average, while Hightower averages 14.9. Harris leads the team with 7.5 boards per outing to go along with 9.6 points and Gamble averages 6.5 assists and 8.1 points.Â
Last Time Against WT:
In their first meeting on Nov. 29, the Aggies fell behind early 24-10 after the first quarter. They then trailed by just nine at the half after a 25 point second. WT then extended their lead with a 15-11 third, before CU made it close, with a 21 point fourth quarter, but could not complete the comeback, falling 74-67. WT shot over 45 percent from the field and went to the foul line 33 times, making 20 of their attempts. They also turned the Aggies over 23 times and blocked eight shots in the win. Taylor led WT with 21 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks, while Hightower added 18 and Gamble scored 13. Cameron was led by Halbleib with 17 points and 10 rebounds, with
Ava Battese chipping in 13 and
Chelsea Heidebrecht added 11 off the bench.Â

The Aggies will be on the road for their next five games, starting with a trip to Texas A&M-Commerce on Feb. 7. They will then make a visit to Tarleton State on Feb. 9, before heading to UT Permian Basin, Western New Mexico, and MSU Texas before their next home game.Â
