LAWTON, Okla. -- For the final week of the 2018-19 season, the Aggie women's basketball team will host Texas A&M-Kingsville on Thursday, before honoring their seniors on Saturday prior to their game against Angelo State.

Week 10 Game Notes
Starting 5:
1. The Aggies are one of the best three-point shooting teams in Division II, leading the conference with 228 total made threes and 8.8 three-pointers per game, which also has them ranked in the top-20 nationally;
Ava Battese leads the way with a Lone Star Conference best 2.8 three's per outing and 72 on the season and
Maighan Hedge is eight in DII with a 43.9 three-point percentage.
2. Cameron's eight game losing streak is their longest since they lost nine straight during the 2012-13 season; that season they went 5-21 overall and 4-16 in league play.
3. Texas A&M-Kingsville leads the conference and is in the top-30 nationally with 407 free throws made and 585 attempted; they are shooting at a 69.6 percent from the charity stripe.
4. Angelo State is No. 1 in the conference in scoring offense (77.4), defense (59.7), and margin (17.7), and three of their four losses have come by less than five points.
5. The Javelinas are fighting for the final spot in the conference tournament as they are tied with Western New Mexico with a 6-12 league mark, while the Belles are half a game back of West Texas A&M for the No. 1 seed.

Week 9 Recap:
The Aggies went 0-2 last week, falling to MSU Texas 79-70 on the road before hosting Texas Woman's for a 71-67 loss. CU led 23-19 after one quarter against MSU, but after a 21-10 second quarter, struggled to get back in the game. The Mustangs shot 50 percent from the field, scoring 44 points in the paint while going 18-20 from the free throw line. CU shot just 41.2 percent from the field while going 4-21 from three in uncharacteristic fashion. Hedge led Cameron with 22 points and six assists, while Smith recorded a CU-career high 19 points for the Aggies. Two days later, the Aggies failed to complete a comeback against the Pioneers after falling behind 25-19 in the first quarter. They trailed by just one 55-54 after the third quarter, but lost the final frame 16-13. TWU hit on 51 percent of their fields goals and was a perfect 13-13 from the charity stripe, while CU shot 38.6 percent from the floor and was 15-22 in their free throw attempts. Battese led the way with 16 points, going 4-12 from three-point range, while McNair added 13 points and
Whitney Outon had a career-best 12 points.
About the Aggies:
Cameron enters their final week of the regular season with a 7-19 overall record and a 4-14 LSC mark. Their loss to TWU last Thursday, knocked them out of the running for the final spot in the league tournament as WNMU holds the tiebreaker over CU. They are averaging just under 70 points per game and giving up 76.3 to their opponents. Cameron is shooting 40 percent from the floor, 35 percent from three, and 68 percent from the free throw line. Hedge leads the team with 14.9 points and 3.0 assists per game, while Halbleib averages 11.4 points and a team-best 6.5 rebounds. Battese is also scoring just under 11 points per outing, and McNair averages 9.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists.
Scouting the Javelinas:
Texas A&M-Kingsville enters the final week of the regular season with a 9-16 season record and a 6-12 LSC mark. They are averaging just 61.7 points per game and shooting just 34.8 percent from the field, while giving up just over 70 points per game to their opponents. Brynae Thompson leads the team with 14.9 points per game, but did not play in their last game against WNMU after playing just six minutes against UT Permian Basin. Cloe Lane also averages in double-figures with 11.7 points per game to go along with a rebounding average of 5.5.
Last Time Against TAMUK
The last time Cameron took on Texas A&M-Kingsville on Jan. 26 was the last time the Aggies recorded a win. In a 80-74 victory, CU scored 28 points in both the first and fourth quarters, and went to the line a season high 33 times. Hedge led the squad with 21 points and Halbleib added 19 points while going 5-10 from the perimeter. The Javelinas shot just 32.9 percent from th the floor led by Thompson's 24 points. Lane added 18 points for TAMUK, and Danielle Meador chipped in a 10 point, 10 rebound double-double.
Scouting the Rambelles:
Angelo State's eight game win streak was snapped two weeks ago by a pair of losses to WT and Eastern New Mexico. They then went 2-0 against the Mustangs and Falcons to improve to 20-4 overall and 15-3 against LSC opponents. While leading the conference in scoring, ASU is shooting 42.8 percent from the floor and out-rebounding their opposition by 7.7 boards per outing. Marquita Daniels leads the squad with 16.5 points, 3.9 assists, and 3.0 steals, while De'Anira Moore adds 14.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game and Dezirae Hampton averages 12.7 points and 7.3 rebounds.
Last Time Against ASU:
The Rambelles got the better of the Aggies in their first meeting on Jan. 24, winning 89-54. ASU held the Aggies to under 20 points in all four quarters and limiting them to going just 3-20 from three point range and 32.8 percent from the field. On offense, the Belles shot almost 50 percent from the floor while going 8-18 from three and 15-25 from the foul line. Four ASU players reached double-figures, with Daniels and Hampton both scoring 15 points, Moore adding 14, and Asia Davis chipping in 13 points. McNair had a team-high 16 points for the Black and Gold while Hedge added 13.
