About the Aggies:
Cameron is coming off a 1-2 series loss at Eastern New Mexico last weekend. The squad opened the series up with an 11-8 loss before splitting a doubleheader, losing the opener 6-5 and winning 13-12 in the third game of the series. The set was scheduled to be a four game series, but the finale was called off because of weather. CU is now 7-10 on the season.

The Aggies have struggled at the plate to start the season, hitting just .249 with 101 runs scored and 32 extra-base hits. Just two CU players are batting over .300, with Dillon Turney leading the way with a .333 average and Izrael Trevino batting .313. Trevino also leads CU with 20 hits, 19 runs scored, and 15 RBI. Pierce Khan and Jaylan Prince have made surges as of late, as Khan is hitting .298 with 14 RBI and Prince is batting .297 and is a perfect 5-5 in stolen base attempts.

Cameron has already used 16 pitchers this season, and as a team, they own a 7.18 ERA with 133 strikeouts in 140.1 innings. Devin Castro has been the most consistent starter, going 1-1 with a 2.20 ERA in five starts. Andrew Garza has seen success punching people out with 27 K's in 26.1 innings pitched, while top bullpen arm Sean Maher has 20 strikeouts in just 15 innings on the mound.

Scouting the Falcons:
The Falcons come into the weekend with a 5-8 record and is looking to bounce back from their 0-3 series loss to West Texas A&M last weekend. That is just half of the Falcons six game losing streak, as they loss three games previously to Adams State.

At the dish, Peyton Koopman leads the way with a .385 average across his five starts and 13 at bats. He has scored three runs, has driven in two runs, earned three walks, while only striking out twice. Koopman also leads the Falcons in OPS (.962, minimum 13 at bats). Gabriel Melendez leads the way for the Falcons in terms of power production holding a team high (minimum 13 at bats) .609 slugging percentage, with 14 total bases, a team high nine RBIs, a home run, triple, and three doubles.

Out of the bullpen, in four appearances, Paul McRae still has a perfect 0.00 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP in 6.2 innings pitched. The junior from Sugar Land, Texas has seven strikeouts on his resume, and hitters are only hitting for a .174 average against the Falcons hurler; McRae also leads the team with two saves. So far this season, the Falcons have turned to Ivan Thomas and Alex Rivera to start games on the bump consistently, both tallying four starts apiece with Thomas holding a 6.00 ERA, and Rivera turning in a bloated ten ERA. Tanner Rhodes, the true freshman from Hurst, Texas, has found the most success when starting on the bump for the Falcons. In his one start, he went six innings, and gave up just one earned run. Rhodes has three appearances total, and a 2.08 ERA.
