About the Aggies:
Since opening league play, the Aggies have gone 6-2, improving their season record to 15-18. They have back-to-back 3-1 series wins over Tarleton State and Texas A&M-Kingsville. Their three wins against the Javelinas helped them move into a tie for first in the conference standings. They used a pair of walk-off hits to win game two and four of the series: a two-run homer by
Izrael Trevino and a pinch-hit single by
Nate Pecota.

Cameron is hitting .246 with 72 extra-base hits, 20 homers, and score 6.3 runs per game. Trevino is the only Aggie batter currently hitting over .300 (while meeting the 2 PA/G requirement) and leads the team with 34 runs scored and has six homers and 30 RBI on the season.
Pierce Khan is batting .287 with six home runs and 36 RBI, while
Dillon Turney and
Jaylan Prince are also hitting over .280 with 17 RBI each.

The CU arms have struggled this season, combining for a 6.32 ERA and 253 K's in 269 innings on the mound.
Devin Castro has made nine starts and owns a 4.02 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 47 innings of work, while
Gaige Vines is 3-1 in eight appearances (three starts) with 23 K's in 30.2 innings pitched.
Andrew Garza leads the team with 42 punch-outs, while
Sean Maher leads the team with 17 appearances and has 37 K's in 29.1 innings on the mound.

Scouting the Rams:
Angelo State is now 25-7 overall this year and 6-2 in league play after splitting their series with West Texas A&M last weekend. After losing in game one of the series 12-1, they came back to sweep the doubleheader 5-0 and 16-1. The Buffs answered with a 4-0 win in the series finale to even the series at two wins apiece.

The Rams are hitting .336 at the plate, scoring 8.6 runs per game and recording 95 extra-base hits, 27 of which have been of the long ball variety, which is tops in the conference. Josh Elvir and Lachlan Mayo not only lead the team, but also are one and two in the LSC in batting average. Elvir is hitting .427 with 10 homers and 34 RBI, while Mayo is hitting .415 with 25 runs scored and 27 RBI. Six other Rams are batting over .300, including Nick Seginowich, who is hitting .382 with 33 RBI and a team-leading 42 hits.

On the mound, ASU owns a team ERA of 5.05 and 226 combined strikeouts in 249.1 innings. Trent Baker has made nine starts and has a 2.64 ERA with 41 K's in 47.2 innings of work. Josh Barnett has made 13 appearance and has a 1.37 ERA, 24 K's, and four saves in 19.2 innings pitched. Five other Ram pitchers have totaled over 20 strikeouts through 32 games this season.
