Schedule Changes:
The series, which was scheduled to take place over three days, Friday-Sunday, has been changed to a pair of doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday due to rain the past few days. Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. with a seven-inning contest, followed by a nine-inning game. However, that time is tentative due to rain in the forecast on Friday. Sunday will be the same, with a tentative start time for the twin-bill set for 1 p.m.

Senior Day:
Prior to Saturday's doubleheader, Cameron baseball will recognize their eight seniors for their hard work on and off the diamond. Colton Adams, Trey Bigford, Andrew Garza, Hayden Jaco, Pierce Khan, Sean Maher, Myles Miller, and Briton Schiewe will be honored prior to the start of game one out on McCord Field.

About the Aggies:
Cameron enters their final series with a 20-25 overall record and an 11-9 Lone Star Conference mark after losing three out of four games at UT Permian Basin last weekend. In game one, CU got out to an early lead, but could not hold off the Falcons in an 8-7 loss. They then won 11-6 in game two before falling 16-6 and 2-1 in the final two contests of the series.

On the season, Cameron is batting .263 with 298 runs scored and 106 extra-base hits, 29 of which have been homers. Four Aggies that qualify with a minimum of two plate appearances per game are batting over .300. Izrael Trevino leads the squad with a .308 average, 47 runs scored, and seven homers. Khan is hitting .303 with a team best 43 RBI, while Dillon Turney is hitting .301 and Jaylan Prince .300. Additionally, Jaco owns a .295 batting average, while Miller is batting .331 in 33 games play and Nate Pecota is hitting .414 with 12 RBI since returning from injury a few weeks ago.

CU's pitching staff has not had as strong of a year as their bats, posting a 7.10 ERA with 305 combined strikeouts in 352.1 innings pitched. Jaco, CU's primary catcher, also has a team-low ERA of 3.68. In three starts and just five appearances, the senior has struck out 18 batters and held the opposition to a .177 average. Freshman Drew Henderson has been solid in his five starts, posting a 5.03 ERA while striking out 22 batters in 34 innings on the mound.

Scouting the Buffs:
West Texas A&M enters the final series of the regular season with a 36-9 overall record and a 15-5 conference mark. They are ranked No. 13 in the NCBWA Top-25 poll and fifth in the South Central Regional Poll. WT is coming off a 6-0 loss to Lubbock Christian last week and swept their last conference series against UTPB.

Batting .325 on the season, WT has scored 355 runs and have 133 extra-base hits with a league best 18 triples. Alabama transfer Kyle Kaufman leads the team with a .404 average, has scored 44 runs and driven in 50 this season. He leads a group of eight Buffs who have a qualifying batting average over .500. Keone Givens has also had a solid year, hitting .374 with 51 runs scored and 31 RBI; Givens is also 23-27 in stolen base attempts.

The Buffs have far and above the best pitching staff in the LSC, posting a team ERA of 3.75 with a combined 482 strikeouts in 350.1 innings of work. Ace Joe Corbett owns a 1.73 ERA and is 10-0 in 11 starts. Corbett leads the team with 112 strikeouts in 73 innings on the mound. Darin Cook has seven wins and an ERA of 2.28 with 71 K's. Dominic Yearego leads the LSC with 10 saves and has struck out 51 batters in 29.1 innings.

On Deck:
The Lone Star Conference Championship will take place next weekend, May 9-11. Usually, the tournament would take place at the No. 1 seed, but due to a scheduling issue at Angelo State, the No. 2 seed will host the three-day event. The first round will begin on Thursday, followed by the two semifinals on Friday, and the championship game on Saturday. Cameron could end up being anywhere between the No. 2 seed and the No. 5 seed.
