CU baseball series with ENMU altered

LAWTON – After multiple changes to their weekend schedule, the Aggie baseball are having to cancel the first two games of their series with Eastern New Mexico.

What was originally scheduled to be a four-game series lasting from Friday to Sunday, was moved to a pair of doubleheaders on Sunday and Monday due to a massive ice storm that covered the Lawton area.

The Cameron baseball staff and players worked all day Saturday and Sunday to try and get a field that was covered in ice just a few days ago playable. The teams were going to try and play just one game of Sunday's doubleheader at 6 p.m. but that was called off as the field is still unplayable due to the melted ice.

The two teams will try and salvage at least two games of the series on Monday when the play a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. with a seven-inning game, followed by a nine-inning contest at McCord Field. Both games will be streamed on the Lone Star Conference Digital Network.
